Coffee + Kitchen Restaurant

Curtis and Eva were the heart of our stay at WOODS on Pender. The enthusiasm Curtis shows for each site’s design is surpassed only by the care and skill he puts into the pastries he prepares at Coffee + Kitchen each morning. I would eat the vegetarian mini quiche every day if I could and the cinnamon bun and pear tarts were some of the best pastries we have ever had. Dinner was also excellent, highly recommend the pad thai!

Stopped by on Sunday around 9:45am and there were still goodies coming out of the kitchen.

I got a vanilla americano, the quiche, and the gluten-free banana bread with pistachios on top. 10/10. I drank my americano way too fast. Quiche was filling and flavors were awesome (egg, mushroom, peas, etc.). Banana bread was thick, moist, and not too sweet.

Sat on the deck and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. There's a cage near the deck with 3 rabbits. There's a little greenhouse right by the deck as well.

I couldn't get in for dinner as they were fully booked. You NEED to call or text ahead to get reservations.

Definitely a place to visit again.

This is not a drill — the food is AMAZING. Eva is so kind. We went for dinner last night and went back today for breakfast. Salad, pizza, coffee, pastries - everything was better than the next. Cinnamon bun is not overhyped, best one I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to also stay at WOODS next time we’re on Pender :)

Yo, what’s good, fam? It’s Pizza Daddy here, and I gotta drop some mad props on Coffee + Kitchen at The Woods on Pender. This place is so off-the-chain incredible, it’s like a hug from Marlo Stanfield wrapped in pastry bliss.

First up, the coffee. Bruh, it’s perfection in a cup. It’s like Avon Barksdale himself came down to brew it with all the precision and love in the world. Every sip is a journey, like it’s transporting you to a caffeine utopia. The perfect blend to kickstart your day or keep you cruising through the afternoon.

Now, the pastries? Don’t even get me started. The palette is my ultimate fave – a culinary masterpiece that’s like a party in your mouth with every bite. And those cinnamon buns? Lawd have mercy, they’re so good they might just bring a tear to your eye. Worth every single mile of the trip, no cap.

The service? Let’s just say it’s like getting a hug from Kima Greggs and a fist bump from Bunk Moreland. They’re out here treating you like a king, making sure your every need is met with a smile and a laugh. It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home, surrounded by good vibes and even better people.

And just like that nice old Asian guy who took a tumble at Coit Tower, you might find yourself overwhelmed – but this time, it’s from sheer joy and satisfaction. The level of awesome here is almost too much to handle, but in the best way possible.

I love this little spot! I drop in every Saturday morning that I’m able, for a dirty chai, and if I’m feeling sweet, an almond croissant, they’re the best I’ve ever had! The proprietor and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend!

Tried two pastries & three varieties of cafe drinks. Everything was exceptional in flavour & quality! My matcha latte was perfect & the almond croissant was extraordinary. Best croissant I have ever had. 12/10 overall.
