The beef was tender and plentiful, noodles perfectly done with peppers and root veggies adding the perfect crunch. Easily a generous amount for two, well done. “The coziest loveliest cafe I’ve been to! The owner and the barista are so nice and make sure you feel at home. All the bakery items are made by the owner’s wife and are the best I’ve ever had! I highly recommend going here if you go to the island it’s a must visit.I’m an Indian and have had dosas all my life and their dosas are definitely one of the best I’ve had.Vegetarian options: Their dosa is vegetarian”

“Beyond exceptional. Awesome coffee, best house made pastries. The cinnamon bun is otherworldly, so delicious.We enjoyed a wonderful, fresh salad. Vibrant, crunchy, and a light, refreshing dressing. Followed by the Salmon pizza which was a ten out of ten. I really enjoyed the burger, perfect.The last day they were sold out ofthe cinnamon buns”

“We got the mussels and frites for an appetizer and it was quite delightful. For the main, we had the special: prime rib with mashed potato’s and Yorkshire pudding- also very tasteful with lots of flavour.The next day we went and got the seafood spaghettini- it was also pretty good, weak garlic bread thoAll in all, I recommend going here!”

“Incredible food and service. Our server Renee(hope that’s spelled right) was knowledgeable about the menu and excellent. The food was the best Indian food I have ever eaten in Victoria. I recommend it all but particularly the fish pakora as a start and the lamb curry to follow. Wow! Thank you for an amazing experience all around.”

“I travel often to the Gulf Islands, and remember this Bakery Cafe from when I lived on Galiano and happy its still going strong! Indeed, it is the ONLY place to go for coffee first thing in the morning (like 7 am which means the bakers clock in at 5 am ) ) except for drip coffee at the Garage There is always a line up , waiting for the OPEN sign to light up Inside it is basic, countertop seating, but incredible color photos of resident pods of Orcas are attractively displayed The staff is always smiling and friendly. “I just checked out this new little brewery in Sidney for the first time, and happened to try the freshly tapped Strawberry Shortcake Sour, which honestly had the best and strongest strawberry flavour I’ve ever tasted in a beer! It was so good I had to take home a Crowler. With plenty of beer and cider options on tap, a selection of local snacks, board games, events, and the option to bring in takeout from elsewhere, this place is definitely worth a visit. “I am a regular and usually happy customer of the Sidney Natural Food Store. However, I recently went in looking for some Bob's Rice Flour and was unwilling to purchase any from the bulk bins as people with diagnosed celiac disease are firmly advised not to do. One of the staff said that some people with celiac disease can get away with a little cross contamination whereas others with celiac disease say they shouldn't even get a crumb. She seemed sceptical that that small amount would be a problem. I attempted to educate her that no one with diagnosed celiac disease can health-wise afford to have any cross contamination-gluten intolerant people, yes, celiac people, definitely NO. She clearly did not believe me. As a resource person in a health store, this illuminates a serious lack of professional knowledge. I suggest that your staff spend some time on the Canadian Celiac Association website (celiac.ca) to learn and then provide accurate information to your customers.”
