Beyond exceptional. Awesome coffee, best house made pastries. The cinnamon bun is otherworldly, so delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful, fresh salad. Vibrant, crunchy, and a light, refreshing dressing. Followed by the Salmon pizza which was a ten out of ten. I really enjoyed the burger, perfect. The last day they were sold out ofthe cinnamon buns

Two of us stopped here to eat right when they opened at 5 pm. The woman who greeted us asked if we have a reservation. We did not and she told us they were full. She said we could do take out and we declined. When we went to leave she then offered us 2 of the 4 stools at a bar in front of the window which we glady took. However it didn't feel very welcoming to be offered seats only after we said no to take out. Even though everything was reserved not a single person arrived until after we had been there for a full hour. When we left there was a totally of only 4 other people there even though we had been told to do takeout as they were fully booked. Maybe they could have given us the option of a table with the time limit of an hour?? ?The food on the other hand, was amazing. We got the salmon pizza and the mushroom gnocchi. Both dishes were impressive. One thing that was bothersome during our meal was the very strong perfume of our server. Every time she came by the perfume interfered with the tastes and aromas of our meal.

Best cinnamon bun on the planet

We had breakfast here one morning as we were staying in one of the comfortable and amazing trailers here. The Cinnamon Buns were the best we've ever had and were like a work of art, as you can see in the picture! We spoke with the owner and you could see the skill and technique that was put into the food and the accommodations here! The Latte and Chai Latte were so amazing and just what you need to start the day! The service was great as well. They also sell lots of local crafts, cider and wine here which we purchased as well. We were just sorry we couldn't stay here for dinner as we were leaving before then. All the more reason to come back!

We had one dinner and stopped in for one breakfast during our stay at the Woods. For dinner we had margherita pizza and a steak bowl (they were out of pork belly). The pizza was very rich and the bowl was supper yummy. We enjoyed a beer and old fashioned with our meal. The dinner was the best one we had on the island. The server, Ava, was kind to relocate us from the patio to inside when wasps became a bit annoying. On the last morning we stopped in for baked goodies and a latte. We got a cinnamon bun, berry lemon poppyseed slice, savoury egg muffin (not its official name), frangipane berry tart and a berry galette. Everything was excellent. The savoury muffin was the best of my life. Berry tart and berry galette are to live for. They have definitely the best pastries on the island, on par and even exceeding some of the best bakeries in Vancouver. Oat milk latte was not as smooth as I hoped but it was OK with the amazing pastry.Note that the cafe was very busy for breakfast. We would recommend you line up if you want a particular thing or an assortment of pastries. You can also pre-order a day in advance. They were very kind to set aside the tart and galette for us for the second order during a very busy time (well worth the wait!).The restaurant has a nice patio as well as comfy indoor seating. There is Mac, the rabbit, and a few chickens in the front yard, which are fun to watch. Would highly recommend Coffee + Kitchen to anyone visiting Pender.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian options. Oat milk.

Had a very delicious dinner here. The cocktails and salmon pizza were so good! We especially enjoyed the salad using local fresh ingredients. Will definitely come back whenever we are on Pender Island again!

We pulled in as my wife had read something about this place on line. They have a small retail business to augment their boutique breakfast spot. We ordered the special as my wife was shopping for some small gifts to take home. She had selected a few items and joined me at the table to wait for our breakfast Before our food even came the grey haired lady working the counter came and asked us to pay- when I questioned this she seemed offended and bullied me in to paying . She also included the retail items on the same bill and of coarse the machine was asking for a minimum tip of 15% which looking back I should have rejected. What places like this need to understand is that a gratuity is based on the quality of food delivered as well as the service . It is not a given its something that is earned. Further, retail items already have the profit built in to them and should be placed on a separate invoice with no tip option requested or expected. We always want to support small local business but small business operating like this need to respect the customers not take advantage of them.

We so enjoyed this bacon and poached egg biscuit sandwich with assorted vegetables (squash, spinach, onions, mushrooms) filling. Would give it 6/5, perfect fall brunch and we wanted to eat a second one. I forgot to ask their name but the nice gentleman in charge of the food has complex food creations as he described all these fusion of ingredients he would curate his fresh baked items. We took away a fancy cinnamon twist with a special cream cheese topping and banana loaf with bacon and then some. My only suggestion would be is to label if any nut ingredients. A must stop if on Pender.

We have not dined here for a couple of years due to the Pandemic, so this was a new venture for us. My wife and I each ordered the Power Bowl which was served very hot and stayed hot until the last bite. Nice! My friend really enjoyed his burger. Service from Eva was excellent.

Amazing pastries and coffee with a cool hip country vibe. The best gourmet sausage roll my husband has ever and he’s lived in the UK. Expensive but worth it!
