Jo's Place is a definite recommended restaurant to go too on Pender Isl. The restaurant is vibrant, the staff is friendly & the service is quick. The Food was absolutely ? ? delicious. I really enjoyed the crispy hashbrowns & Beef patty Eggs Benny Burger. I would definitely come here again. Also it's a great spot to watch live sports.

Don't go if you are a single person. I was the second person in line to get in this past Sunday morning at 9:00. When Jo asked me "How many", I told him one. He said "I have a table for you outside." It was still a little chilly out so I said, "No, it is chilly outside so I want to eat inside." He said, "I have this table right here" and started walking toward it. I said, "That table is right next to the bathroom, no I don't want that one." He said, very sarcastically, "Yes we have a bathroom." I said, "Well I am the second person in the door and I don't want the worst table in the restaurant, I will have one of those two small tables at the front." He then proceeded to tell me that they like to reserve those because sometimes they get larger groups in an they can move those tables to expand their tables of four to accommodate them. I asked if he wanted me to go somewhere else to eat. He told me no and VERY begrudgingly gave me a small table at the front. The waiter was nice and polite and the food was good but I won't be eating there again. Single people need nice tables too Jo.

Spectacular little treasure on the island. Impossible to say what brought us back 4 times in one weekend....the food such as the Pender bowl or the tomato feta basil soup OR the people.Do your self a solid, go eat at Jo's!

Ordered a caesar, classic burger with a side if the daily soup (lamb, chickpea?), and the special pulled pork sandwich with fries. Everything was fantastic - really delicious. Service was also fantastic. Highly recommended if you're on the island. Next time I'm on the island I'll be back (and hopefully get to checkout their dinner / pizza).

If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience that will leave you feeling satisfied and smiling from ear to ear, look no further than Jo's. From the moment you step inside, you'll be greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that is perfect for any occasion. The menu at Jo's is truly something special for a small island community like Pender, featuring a wide range of delicious dishes that are made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you'll find something to love on the menu here. Try the poutine. You’re welcome. Not only is the food fantastic, but the restaurant itself is also clean and welcoming. We love that it's pet and kid friendly, making it a great spot for families to enjoy a meal together. If this isn’t enough already, check out their prices. What inflation? We are constantly shocked at the amount of food and quality for what they charge. But what really makes Jo's special is the people behind the restaurant. The owners Jo and Alex have poured their heart and soul into creating a truly exceptional dining experience, and it shows in every aspect of the restaurant. From the welcoming staff to the ever changing delicious specials, everything at Jo's is top-notch.Sadly, it’s with a heavy heart that we recently discovered Jo and Alex have recently sold the business and will be moving on as of September. While we're sad to see them go, we're grateful for the memories we've made at Jo's and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors. If you haven't had the chance to experience Jo's for yourself, we highly recommend that you do this summer!

Tried to get breakfast but arrived too late. So we ordered hamburgers that were very good. So good we went back for lunch the next day. And we were not disappointed. Jo's Place is a must if visiting Pender Island.

This was our first stop on the Island and we came for the soup. We got the Italian Wedding soup, but were told to come back on Mushroom soup day for the ultimate good soup. We were seated quickly and at one point had a lovely chat with one of the servers while things were quiet. We should come again to check out the larger menu....

When we visit Pender Island for vacation, our usual haunt is the Port Browning Pub, for comfort food. But one night, they were out of most everything, and encouraged us to look elsewhere. So we drove up the road to Jo's Place, and arrive not long before closing. Our server graciously seated us, even though they were closing soon. We've been to Jo's Place before, and were somewhat underwhelmed. My memory was of mediocre food and high prices. Either my memory is faulty, or they've improved, because this meal was far better than I recall. My wife and I started with a soup and salad to share, both of which were made with excellent, fresh, local ingredients. Then, she had a lamb burger, and I did the pasta special, a slightly spicy red sauce. Both were excellent. We ate al fresco on a lovely Pender night. True, prices here are a touch higher than some other spots on the island, but this time the quality of the food seemed to match. My only disappointment is that they didn't have many beer options on tap. But service and food were great, and it is a really convenient location in the heart of the island's commercial district. Now I just need to get back there and try their much heralded breakfasts!

Really enjoyed our stop here for breakfast during a weekend getaway to Pender with my wife. Excellent service and equally excellent meal. Their Benedict's are delicious.
