Delicious breakfast sandwiches and drinks! One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. They have board games here too which is a bonus to this gem!

Beware, they do not have the inventory showed in previous photos-- I'm guessing pre-covid?Provisions available to purchase are VERY limited now. Also, they'll randomly close early without updating Google Maps.

Wonderful stuff, beautiful scenery, fireplace in a cottage, proximity to pool, hot tub on the deck, tasty food at the restaurant and cafe, beach access, hikes and small thoughtful things like heated floors in the bathrooms and overall very friendly atmosphere, thank you.

This was our first visit to Poet's Cove on Pender Island. The resort exceeded our expectations. The setting is so beautiful, scenic and romantic. We had a wonderful weekend exploring the island and unwinding. We had everything we needed for this romantic birthday weekend. The island and resort were easy to get to via BC Ferries.

We knew we were to early to check in but we wanted the early ferry. No worries, a stop at Jo's Place for a bowl of soup, The Vanilla Leaf Bakery cafe for Sandwich for later we made our way past the Dip ( an interesting feature in the road) we arrived. We got checked in and headed out again until our room was ready. Now we had a plan, We visited Gowland Point despite the slight snow and gale force winds and the below zero temps. The walk was refreshing and a great start. We then did a. more sheltered walk on the Craddock/Gowland Trail Loop and then checked out the old Anglican Church and then it as time to get out of the weather. Our room was steps from check in and of course the view was amazing looking up the bay. At first we wondered if there had been water damage, but it appears the baseboards were removed to install the new carpet and we saw the new baseboard downstairs. The hallways are also undergoing renos, but nothing went on while we were there. All was nice and quiet. In fact we did not know if the rooms around us were occupied until we saw the housekeepers doing up the rooms after they left. It was that quiet. Now the third night we were treated to guitar and drums which puzzled us. Michael from the front desk took on the challenge and found that the room below us was enjoying the blue tooth speakers. Once they toned that down we never heard another thing. Back to housekeeping, they do not have daily service which is just fine as the front desk had tea, coffee and tp and were happy to supply it. The amenities are great. There is a fridge as well as a kettle and all the things listed for the lodge room. The tv is ok, the picture is not very sharp. We were not there to watch tv but is was nice that there was TSN and we were able to catch some of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The facet on the tub needed help, the arm chairs are super comfy, but showing their age. We were happy. We did tryout the Moorings Market for a breakfast sandwich which was perfect to get us on our way. The one night we made it to Aurora we were thrilled with the great service from Dan. It was after 7 and they close at 8 so were were the last in there. I tried the Poke bowl which I loved and my husband's Salmon were perfect. Just a warning, nothing stays open late on the island so you need to plan your day if you are relying on food services. We did laugh as we ran into servers you in one place and again in another. The guest services are great. Michael is very friendly and made us feel at home. Sarina, I hope I got that right as she remembered our names, was learning the front desk. She is an excellent addition. Christine was friendly too and knew her stuff. Great front end to make people feel welcome. We hung out in the hot tub enjoying a light snow fall and then a dip in the pool. We ended talking to islanders who have the benefit of being able to use the pools and fitness equipment. Great resource for the Islanders. The only surprise is when I popped into the women's change room to strip off my swim suit. When you open the door there is a clear sight line to the shower and if you happen to be in the shower the door is more transparent than translucent. If you haven't made it into the shower you are in full view to anyone entering or walking by.

A fine place to visit!! A fine place to likely revisit! So, what else might be expressed as a summary to reflect having experienced a fine place for a visit? While this survey wouldn’t accept fewer than 200 words. (Which has been the only mild puzzlement.)

What a wonderful time we had at Poets Cove, we came to celebrate my daughter’s 18 birthday and she had a blast. Front desk Michael and the other lady that I forgot her name had excellent customer service. They both were very attentive, from the beginning to the end.

Room smelled of septic and had clear prior damage from a likely flood. For the price point it was not worth it. Views were amazing. We did have a dog which is likely why we were placed in a room with damage so maybe if you don’t bring a pet you would have a different experience but our room was not well kept and was very dated.

Beautiful location with friendly service. We came in the offseason so some of the services were under going upgrades but all in all a great time. We were only able to use the Aurora restaurant on the Sunday night but enjoyed the fare and had use of the kitchen in our villa for the rest of the time.

We had booked a 2 night getway stay vacation ( we are from Vancouver island) with another couple and after booking in which we received get customer service we received a family emergency call and one couple had to go to Vancouver . The manager was so understanding and they did not charge us for having to cancel our reservation even though we had already check in. Thank you and we will definitely be rebooking our trip . What we did see of the resort and room was very impressive.

Always enjoy returning to peaceful Poets Cove. Love that the pool and hot tub are open Year round. There were a couple of snags with our reservation and room, but were rectified satisfactorily by the front desk staff.

Cutest little coffee shop but the lady operating it needs another person to help her- not her fault.

No kettle, no microwave. Tv not working didn't even have a power cord. Door didn't close without slamming. Email correspondence short and abrupt. Staff did their best. Restaurant good. Shortfalls are more maintenance issues not In staff control. Staff did their best.
