My partner and I tried the wine tasting flight for nearly $15/each. We got two sips worth in each glass, other than the dessert wine which was one sip worth (fair, I know dessert wines tend to have small portions). We were super disappointed to pay $30 between the two of us for what was basically the equivalent of a single glass of wine. We had free tastings in the Okanagan that poured us as much as we got here. We looked around and everyone else who got the flights had double the wine in their glasses. Not sure why we were shorted so much, but I’m certainly not interested in going back to try again. The wine itself was just okay. If you’re a cider person, I highly recommend checking out Twin Island Cider instead! Otherwise, make sure to avoid the flight. Just get a personal glass or a bottle to share.My suggestion to the winery: for flights, get custom smaller glasses at the size you desire with a rim that curves inwards. Have your employees fill this to the top. And be reasonable with the amount - make sure it’s a bit more than a full glass in total, given the flight is considerably more expensive.

Though the wines are not really to my liking (I prefer reds) they were great white wines! The vineyard itself is stunning! You can bring your own food, I love to pair my own food with wines. I got a flight for 14$ (the pours were quite generous) and then paired my own food with the coriolis for a very decent price (8$). The picnic area especially the herb garden is stunning. We biked up from shingle Bay, it's a long climb (about 250 meters) but an amazing ride!

Ortega and Stella is a must try. The flights are reasonable for three of any kind of their wines. With the truss food truck serving tapas right beside their patio, makes for a wonderful combination to taste and savour their wines.

We enjoyed a relaxing Friday night at the vineyard. Sampled a flight of wines plus a dessert wine. Stella Maris 2021 was a favourite. We also sampled mussels and gnocchi from the nearby Truss Food Truck - both were nice. Besides the wine, the winery has a selection of jams and chutneys for purchase as a set of trio smaller jars or as a single larger jar.
We stopped here for a flight of wine/ our server took her time describing the wines and was very knowledgeable. We didn’t buy from the food truck as the food wasn’t allergy appropriate. A nice charcuterie would have been welcome! Looking forward to going back in fall for more reds. Great ambience to sit around tables and taste the wines. Bring a game and linger awhile!

The winery has a lovely, relaxed setting with a garden patio that provides enough seating and coverage for a good few people.The wines are pleasant, light and the flights offer a great opportunity to taste all that the winery has to offer. However, the jewel in the crown at the winery is the Truss Farm Food Truck. This is not your average night market burger van – The lunchtime food served by the Truss team is the equal of any midtown Main Street booji restaurant in Vancouver. We had Oysters on the Shell followed by two salads that complimented the wines and warm summer sunshine of North Pender Island.Visiting the Winery and sampling the Truss Food Truck for lunch is thoroughly recommended for anyone taking a vacation on the island and looking for a great quality lunch with wines.

Had an absolutely amazing time a few weeks ago at Sea Star! We pulled up on a rainy Saturday night and noticed that no one was in the winery and the food truck looked closed. We were about to get back in our cab but decided to go in since we came all the way from Poets Cove. We were so pleasantly surprised by our experience.They offered to pull in some chairs and a table so that we'd be more comfortable since the patio was closed cause of the rain. They set up the table by the window, dimmed the lights, put on great music, we started our tasting journey....it was like we rented the winery out for ourselves. The chef at Truss food truck then made us the most delicious meal we've had for a long time (seriously, this beat the top restaurant we went to in Victoria the next day by a mile). For a food truck it was absolutely mind blowing. When my husband went to settle up with the food truck him and the chef ended up talking for a long time while I chatted with the brother of the winery owner (can't remember his name but he was awesome). We left in our cab happy, full, a little tipsy and carrying a box of wine that will be enjoyed later.We had such a memorable and fun experience. This is my second time to the winery and it has honestly blown me away each time.A MUST visit when you are on Pender Island.
