After a gorgeous hike on the George Hill Trail, we stopped at Slow Coast Coffee to refuel and wow, was it worth it. Nick ordered a mocha made with Belgian chocolate, and it was goosebump worthy. We couldn’t resist sampling a few treats: carrot cake, pumpkin loaf, and two cookies white chocolate lemon poppy seed and peanut butter. Every single one was delicious. Iced coffee was great. But $6? For a small it seemed excessive. And it took about 10mins. So slow coast is right. Did I say it tasted great? Yes...but 2 stars down.

This was our second time on Pender and I don't know how we missed this gem of a coffee shop. We weren't aware that they served food, so were pleasantly surprised when we saw the menu. After the terrible service we received at another lunch spot we were impressed with Slow Roast. Great food and friendly service. We can't wait to go back.
Very aesthetic and unique little spot with thoughtful food and great espresso drinks. I love supporting small businesses in small towns and I love that they have a gallery of local artist pieces inside. Definitely a required stop when visiting Pender Island.
