We dropped in for lunch and had the mussels & frites and chicken wings - they were both delicious. The mussels were super fresh and the fries were some of the best I've had in a while. Fantastic, friendly service as well! Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for beers and nachos. Both were great! What stood out most was the excellent service from our server Bella.(agent 99 ?)

The food is food but very pricey? The Creme Brule was outstanding. Our server was friendly and helpful. The lower rate was due to prices.

Great place. This afternoon after arriving by boat, I went to make a reservation. The woman that greeted us was great. Informed us there was a large party coming for dinner, so we should arrive a bit early. We did. The new receptionist spent 5 minutes telling us how they could not seat us because there was only one wait staff on duty. I asked to sit at the bar. The hostess told us the bartender was feeling overwhelmed, amd she had to check with him before we could sit at the bar. Once we had a seat, the bartender was chill. We moved to the patio, and had as our waitress the woman we first encountered. The hostess was a total drama queen. She needs to be sent where she is not facing customers.

Do not rely on the reservation system at this establishment and frankly, do not spend your money here.We booked a table of 16 for a bachelorette party dinner on the long weekend one month prior. Apparently the person who took our reso was "unqualified" to do so and didn't input it into the system. Mistakes happen, which we are understanding of. However, rather than come up with a solution to the problem, the manager refused to come out and let the servers take the blame - some of which were shaking with anxiety due to the collosal mess up and acting unprofessionally towards our group. It was clear management did not take the issue seriously and did not want to compensate us in any way. Based on the looks and snickers from other patrons as we arrived, it was obvious that we are not the "typical crowd" at this establishment and we feel that this is part of the reason why we weren't treated professionally. It left the bride and rest of the party of 15 upset and extremely disappointed, and tainted our experience on Pender Island.

Unfortunately cannot rate the food or atmosphere here because we were never seated. We had a reservation for 16 people and when we arrived were told they do not take reservations, they could not seat us, and that the restaurant was closing in an hour (this was at 7pm on a Saturday). Nothing was done to make up for this error so we had to scramble to find another plan for the 16 of us. Very disappointing and would not recommend giving this restaurant your money.

Took some friends here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Honestly the worst food I have had in a very long time. That went for all of us at the table. The food is expensive for what it is - low quality frozen pub food at best. They haven't bothered to purchase an espresso machine, so only have drip coffee. So disappointing. Such a beautiful location and just a little effort would go a long way here to make it a real gem on Pender Island.

We stayed at Poet’s Cove and Syren’s Bisyro was the only restaurant on site. We did have to wait a bit to be seated but did get a lovely table on the patio with marina views. Our server, Breanne, was fabulous- so efficient, friendly and helpful. The seafood chowder was excellent. The nachos were tasty but needed more cheese and less jalapeño peppers. The table water was not the best. Definitely needed a beer or wine with your meal.

We’re so glad we made the stop at Syren’s during our stay at Pender! The poké nachos were incredible, the tuna portion was quite generous. The combination of all the toppings was fantastic, although we would’ve loved to see more seaweed salad. The calamari was delicious as well, although a bit on the small side for the price. The atmosphere was lovely, right by the water and our waitress was friendly and attentive!

Had another bad experience at the Poet’s Cove restaurant. We are long term weekend residents of Pender Island and give this restaurant a try every 6 months or so in hopes it has improved. To be fair, we have had some good meals there and it is a beautiful setting This time I ordered the fish and chips 2 piece meal. The fish portion were not much larger than a fish stick with thick crunchy, greasy, overcooked batter while the fish itself was a pasty textured, undercooked mess. Oil too hot? What does this? Our experiences there have been hit and miss but this time was a hard pass.

Delicious food and great drinks! Friendly staff and a great vibe, though there weren't many there when we dined. We stayed in the marina and came up for a lovely family dinner. The menu has a good variety of creative dishes, and the specialty drinks menu does a wonderful job of explaining unusual and culturally inspired cocktails.
