I was very disappointed to find The Stand closed during what should be peak hours on a busy long weekend. I had planned my trip expecting to get a meal here, and unfortunately, there were no other food options available at the terminal.
Many other travelers were similarly caught off guard, and it was clear that the lack of food service created significant frustration. Given the number of people relying on this ferry route, it’s surprising and disappointing that no provisions were made to ensure food availability during high-traffic times.
I hope BC Ferries and the operators of The Stand can work together to prevent this kind of situation in the future. A simple notice, schedule, or even alternative arrangements would have gone a long way.

Burgers and onion rings were top notch. I got the humdinger which is double patties, bacon and cheese with classic burger toppings .10/10 Rarely get onion rings but I was drawn to them and they did not disappoint.
Props for a cute hidden patio with a beautiful view of the mountains.
A must try, 11.50 for a deluxe burger it’s a no brainer

Old RV turned kitchen with window service. Pretty good menu, excellent prices, fair value. Great customer service!
My wife & I enjoyed ice creams cones @ The Stand in Otter bay while waiting for the ferry. Very enjoyable on a warm June afternoon.

Fantastic burger while waiting for the ferry! Very reasonably priced for anywhere, 8.25 for a burger, let alone a ferry terminal!These guys killed it and the burgers plus coffee was great.
