Always enjoy everything except the 20% tip for our group of 10. Our server was great and I apologize for some of the reactions. But really it was a bit much. We all tip without forcing it. Sadly some won’t return.

Usually when we go there the food and service are top notch. Unfortunately today it was not. Our table was on the upper section, I had to reminder our server of the drink I ordered which she forgot. The group also asked for water and that was forgotten also. Once she was reminded then she brought the drinks which was too late because the meal was almost finished. Also the perogies I ordered were tough to eat. The tip I provided was too much and should not have been given because of the poor service and food. The server was also quite short of patience and impatient.

A true local favourite! Barley Mill’s menu has something for everyone. Tonight we had the blackened chicken salad and the steak sandwich with a house salad—absolutely delicious. The patio made for a perfect evening. Always a go-to spot! However next time will have the brew fries 😁

We specifically come to Penticton because we love the Barley Mill Pub. But we just had the most disappointing dinner. Brew fries were not crispy (which is what we come for) and the rare steak was medium at best. We saved coming here until the end of our trip because it’s our favourite but left very unsatisfied.

Went there on a Friday night, place was jumping. People having a good time, karaoke night. Staff were very welcoming and on the ball with your orders.

Met friends at the Barley Mill for lunch on the patio. Our group of 6 were extremely impressed with both the service and the food. I ordered the Big Crunch Chicken Burger and it was absolutely delicious, from the first bite to the last.
The patio offered plenty of shade and was nicely protected from the wind.
This was not our first visit to the Barley Mill, and it will definitely not be our last. I strongly recommend.

A real neighborhood pub that blends a neighborhood pub feel with the added benefit of also being a craft brewery. I found their draft lager to be absolutely fantastic and one of the best lagers I've ever had in my life. Food and service were good, too. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in on our way to Osoyoos. Picked it because it's dog friendly. Service was great. Nachos were really tasty and the house lager was really good. A bit more than I'm used to paying for beer but still a great experience. My mutt was treated like royalty even tho he was a bit excited a sit wa this first pub experience. I highly recommend this place

We spent 2 nights in Penticton and both evenings walked to this pub- we had nachos the first night which were friggen amazing! They make their own chips and the cilantro sauce drizzled just finished them off so well! The second night it was super busy and our server was amazing! My husband had the 30 dollar steak and I had the rose pasta- everything was cooked to perfection and I’m still thinking about that pasta!! Such good food! Can’t wait to go back!

We had a birthday lunch for a friend. The cocktail we enjoyed was I believe a creamsicle and it was incredible. We were there at lunch time. The food was amazing.

Reasonable prices for big portions and quality food. The steak pot pie was lovely - not too salty and tasty gravy. The clubhouse was gorgeous on ciabatta, and big burgers! The clam chowder is pass on… not much flavor… we sat upstairs where it was quieter but less atmosphere. Servers were attentive and helpful. Would come back!

We arrived late at Barley Mill Brew Pub & Sports Bistro in Penticton after a long day, and it was a fantastic choice to cap off the evening! Despite rolling in close to closing time, the staff were incredibly welcoming and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor, checking in just enough to keep things smooth without hovering. The atmosphere was lively and cozy, with that classic British Tudor-style charm—think rustic decor, sports memorabilia everywhere, and a warm, inviting vibe. The upstairs Sports Bistro, with its hockey, baseball, and football relics, added a fun, nostalgic touch, and I can see why locals love it. The place was busy, but they got us seated quickly, which was impressive for a late-night crowd.
The food was amazing! We didn’t specify what we ordered, but the menu’s pub classics—think juicy burgers, beer-battered fish and chips, and hearty flatbreads—were executed perfectly, with generous portions and bold flavors. Their in-house craft beers, like the Mustang Pale Ale and Nite Mare Brown Ale, were a highlight, brewed right on-site and paired beautifully with the meal. The dog-friendly patio and big-screen TVs make it a great spot for a casual night out or to catch a game. Overall, a top-notch brewpub experience with great service and a vibrant atmosphere. Can’t wait to swing by again

My sister, my husband and I were there for early dinner on Sunday, July 6th, 2025 between 3:45 and 5:30 pm. The food was good but the server was not very friendly. We told her at the start of our meal how we wanted the bill separated. And she confirmed a second time during the meal. But when she eventually brought the bill she didn't let us see the bill, even though both my sister and I asked her to give us the bill. When we eventually saw the bill after paying, she had mixed up the bills. We were forced to pay without seeing it.
I can handle a server being unfriendly, and appreciate the effort to get the bill right. But when you bring it to the table you need to show it to your customers before you present the payment machine, and not ignore the customers when they request to see it. Not impressed.
