I love your 2018 gourmet rosè, the one you produced with urban fair. Best wine ever 10/10! Highly recommended ?
Evolve Cellars is a very warm and friendly atmosphere! They also happen to make my very favourite wine ?
My sister-in-law booked her wedding venue with them. They closed down the winery and did not Inform my sister-in-law. She had to find out about it ONLINE!Then backtracked to say they did contact her. Why would a bride to be even make this up? Especially when she had to call them to find out what was going on and the response was "you were on my list to call". They never apologized but instead deleted the review that my wife (related to my sister-in-law) wrote. They essentially treated her like a liar by saying all the brides were contacted. They then tried to say they had a team working with my sister-in-law. What team? She had to call to confirm the news herself. She then had to call a wedding planner not affiliated with Evolve cellars and had to track the phone number down herself. Offering a case of wine, hoping what? She'd drink the problem away? When we posted our comments and reviews, a friend who also booked their wedding with Evolve found out through our posts! But wait. Didn't they say they contacted everyone?Incompetence at it's finest. Now the budget will be different for a new location...and the best part is...THE INVITATIONS WERE ALREADY SENT OUT with their venue listed.Do not support this winery. So many other wineries in the Okanagan. You should be ashamed of how you treat your clients. Devolved Cellars should be the new name.
The location was beautiful and the wine was good but my experience dealing with Evolve Cellars/Encore Vineyards has been horrible to say the least.I booked my wedding with them and to my surprise found out my wedding was cancelled via the internet because they are no longer renewing their lease in Summerland. The news of their new Penticton location was posted on Castenet, Facebook, and Instagram for over 24 hours and I never received a call or email to tell me the venue and all the amenities that came with it were no longer available. I had to call Evolve Cellars Winery event coordinator to confirm the awful news. I was completely blindsided. Now I am left scrambling and forced to plan a wedding from scratch. All I expected from the company was the common courtesy to be notified of their closure with a sincere apology before going public. I have recently found out there are more couples that were not notified of their closure. To my knowledge the company gave no warning or compensation to their customers, they just redirected them to wedding planner (not affiliated with Encore) to fix their mess.Encore Vineyards has to be the most heartless and unprofessional company in Penticton. I’d like to see a public apology to all the brides and grooms they screwed over.
When my sister and my family signed on with this winery and product, never did we expect such incompetence and lack of professionalism that was shown to us. We trusted Evolve Cellars with one of the most important days of my sister's life. However, my sister was in tears yesterday morning after finding out she no longer had a wedding venue at Evolve Cellars in Summerland, BC. What’s worse, is that she found out about it after reading it in the news online! There was no phone call, no voicemail left, and no email. They didn't have the decency, the professional judgement, nor the honour to reach out right away and let us know that their locations were changing. My sister had to contact the company herself to confirm this news. Then, my sister had to call the hotel she had booked for her wedding to let them know. To our shock, the hotel knew about the venue closure before we did! How was the hotel informed before my sister?! Unbelievable! In addition, I posted a comment/review on Evolve Cellars’ Instagram page. The comment included my feelings about my sister not being notified before this announcement of their new location was made on social media and the news. Instead, their social media rep deleted my Instagram comment to try and save face. The rep then messaged me directly and told me she was deleting my comment and that all the brides had been notified. This was a blatant lie as my sister was not notified and completely blindsided.Clearly, this company is more concerned with their image and reputation than their customers! They showed no remorse and refused to take accountability for their actions. The company’s event coordinator finally reached out to my sister via email almost two days later to officially apologize and offer up some form of compensation. But, only after my friends and family posted comments and reviews online. Now, Evolve Cellars is trying to say that their team is in contact with my sister to try and help her. But, all they did was give her a name of a wedding planner with no affiliation to their company. Upper management has still yet to comment or reach out to my sister. All in all, this whole situation could have been completely avoided by one simple phone call or email notifying my sister that the venue was closing down. Instead, this has turned into an incredibly painful and stressful experience for my sister. I wouldn’t want any other brides to have to go through this ordeal. Do not support this company.
Friends wedding was booked 2 months ago, zero communication with her to warn or appologize for the trouble of the last minute cancelation. Not a good way to handle business. ?
You canceled my friends sisters wedding and she had to find out for herself online!!!! Then you deleted the post of her complaining so other people wouldnt see it. DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE OR SUPPORT THEM!!!! So un professional!!!
Non wine guy but the whites were really good. Sparkling were amazing.
Amazing wine , amazing service
I would consider this a modern winery. It's not vintage feeling like you would think. But this is not a bad thing. This reminds me of a summer beach house winery and setting. If you come just to sit on the massive patio and see the views you will be wowed. They are very focused on sparkling and whites which they do very good. Red wine lovers won't enjoy this winery as they only had 3 wines total. Overall good experience especially on a nice hot sunny day.

Amazing view and setting at the winery, right in front of the lake and the rolling hills, with the vineyards right next to you. Picknic areas with the perfect setting to enjoy some of their wines, which are also great.
Great location, great wine! The $8/person for tasting, when you spend time and $ to get there, is not... Most wineries on the Golden Mile (Osoyoos to Oliver) rarely charge anything for tasting. If they do, it is waived if any ONE of the group buys a bottle. This “business model” of trying to make a buck of the other spouse, or friend, who didn’t buy a bottle, is definitely counter productive to attracting business. Lastly, no one else charges a “bottle fee” when having THEIR wine at THEIR location....
DO NOT visit this winery. Biggest ripoff in the Okanagan. $5.00 tasting fee supposedly reimbursed if you buy a bottle of wine. However, they charge $5.00 more per bottle if you want to have it on the patio as opposed to takeout. No other winery in the OK does this. STAY AWAY!!!
What a hidden gem. EVOLVE has amazing and delicious wines, both the red's and bubbly whites. The Elan and Effervescence are must buys. We throughly enjoyed having Romel walk us through their wines. He is a charismatic and passionate individual. If you have a youngster, they have fruit juices to let kids join in the tastings. A real treat.
It's a beautiful place with low prices and fine wine. It's an amazing place, must go.
