Went here summer 2024 with my wife. The food was AMAZING and so accommodating for us gluten free folk. The view was next level and we think we had the best seat in the house. We cannot wait to return on our next trip to Naramata.

My wife and I checked out the Hillside Winery and ate at their bistro and it was fabulous! My wife enjoyed a wine tasting of their wines (I don’t drink wine myself, I was just there for moral support!) and she really enjoyed the experience. The winery is set in an absolutely gorgeous, old, narrow, rectangular, wood, shingle and stucco clad building located on a hillside (thereby the name!) in Penticton, BC.
The grounds are beautiful and you can sit outside, as there are tables with umbrellas. A terrace deck wraps around the unique building. It is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the nearby lake Okanagan and wonderful scenery.
We had lunch in the bistro as well and it was delicious! Tasty food, and beautiful to look at. We had the deviled eggs, pasta, waffles and chicken, and desert; everything was excellent.

Lovely evening at Hillside Bistro. Thanksgiving dinner for two was delicious and inventive with just enough of the traditional flavours. Wine parings were excellent. Originally reserved a spot inside but decided on the patio instead and the change was made cheerfully by Sarah who also provided attentive service for the rest of the evening. I make it a point to visit when we are in Penticton and I have never been disappointed. Thank you

We ordered the Tomahawk steak with starter bread for my husband's birthday dinner. It was absolutely amazing! The service was friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be going back! Highly recommend:)

What a beautiful, magical, sensual, wonderful ,dinner experience!!! Absolutely loved the waitress Sarah; she was so joyful and fun! It was certainly the highlight of our trip to Naramata! Exceptional service, very relaxed. Love the two course menu format. The three of us had different appetizers and entrees, allowing for samplings of each other's meals. All were very tasty and unique. The view...breathtaking. We enjoyed our all time favourite wine, un-Oaked pino gris. You can tell this is our favourite winery and bistro. Thank you Hillside for another wonderful experience.

We tried the panzarella salad, walnut tart, gnocchi with prawns, and pork belly with scallops. All were excellent and the salad and pork belly were standouts! Service was excellent.

We came back here 10 years later, because we loved it so much the 1st time, but this time it was such disappointment. From the moment we walked in the with intent to have lunch (we made wine tasting reservation in advance) we were told we can’t eat here or there unless we purchase 2 course meal each. After some back and forth “how about this, or how about there” we understood that vinery has 3 separate businesses. With the bitter beginning we were accommodated to sit down to eat and drink at the same place. When the food began to arrive, we all were surprised how minuscule the portions were and overpriced. Caprese salad had 2 smallest cherry tomatoes cut and one bocconcini cut in 4 tiny pieces. Price vs quantity and quality/service didn’t meet our expectations.

Fantastic experience at hillside this year. Portions are small as to be expected for the upscale dining experience. Deviled eggs and pork belly with scallops were delicious. Service was excellent. Upper patio had gorgeous views. Flies were unfortunate but only so much they can do to control those. Wasps weren't as much of an issue this year compared to last year (saw they had a few wasp traps up to deal with them this year). Lovely experience :) thanks
