When I walked into the building the person behind the counter said hello. The person who takes our ID was funny and very nice. I’m sensitive to noise I’d rather have less loud machines and more people able to talk. It’s great meeting new people. I like it when we chat and cheer each other on!

The food is horrible here. I give a place the benefit of the doubt but 3 times in a row is unacceptable. Chicken ceaser salad was terrible. Dry chicken and croutons, dressing tasted like water, balsamic and roasted garlic on it..like why? The parm chicken sandwhich had an old hard bun it was impossible to eat.

I'm incredibly frustrated with my experience and I never write reviews, but this is unacceptable! I called in at 9:05 and waited an hour for my order. I made sure to repeat it clearly since I have 3 kids. Unfortunately, what I received was a huge disappointment! They not only forgot the kids pizza, but the way they packed what I did get was completely unacceptable. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of attention to detail, especially for families. This has always been my go-to spot, but you guys totally dropped the ball. No refund, no care, no resolution. It’s disappointing to see how your management protects underperforming staff instead of addressing these issues. We come all the way from Oliver just for your food, and this is what we get? The pizza was doughy and not cooked properly, crammed into a small to-go box instead of a proper pizza box. Wish I could show you a picture! Please, train better and do better—especially when customers have kids!....

We had a horrible experience here, our server was awful and very rude the entire dinner. We waited forever for our drinks, she had snarky comments and would ignore us when trying to signal her. She never offered our kids any sundaes, yet when we were billed for them, she rudely said well they come with their meal. We had no idea and she never mentioned it. I wanted to pay for 2 of the teenagers and the next table (my older daughter and friend) and the server put their whole table on my bill and wouldn’t change it. She then left us our checks and the machine, and disappeared, we finally just put our totals in and paid ourselves before leaving. The first time I’ve ever not tipped, but the service was so awful I couldn’t. On the plus side the food and drinks were great. And their GF options were awesome.

We came from out of town with a large group. Arrived to have some fun playing slots and grab a bite to eat. One of our pary members was asked some questions and asked what the date is. He is dyslexic and is not good with numbers and said the wrong date. He was denied entry saying he thought he was intoxicated. We are first responders and were not intoxicated in the slightest. He said the casinos issues with alcohol issues and I feel he took their personal issues out on innocent patrons. If you come to penticton I highly recommend planning a get together in a different location.

We've eaten here before & enjoyed it but tonight was just DREADFUL. The service was the worst ever! Our server was pleasant bit was not coping. She got our drinks order incorrect & forgot the coffee order. She asked us to write down our own orders (there were 8 of us)!!! We allowed ourselves 2 hours for dinner but the food only arrived as we had to leave for our concert. One person ordered steak fries and got a steak sandwich. One person's Thai chicken salad came with no sauce / dressing & was very dry. On asking the server did bring a small thimble of store bought dressing. My husband's pasta looked like porridge. I did not leave a tip. It was a thoroughly awful experience.
Match Public House Pemticton has a great atmosphere, perfect for a night out. The mixed drinks are excellent—well-crafted and definitely a highlight of the experience. The food servers were also fantastic—attentive, friendly, and efficient, making the dining experience enjoyable.
However, the nachos were a bit underwhelming. They lacked the bold flavors and generous toppings that make for a great shareable dish. If you’re looking for top-tier nachos, this might not be the place, but if you’re here for drinks and great service, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Let me preface this review by saying that I rarely leave negative reviews anywhere. The only reason I'm giving any stars was for Natalie, our waitress. She was wonderful and the only positive about our experience. Everything else gets no stars. For starters, the table was absolutely disgusting and sticky. It looked like a dirty ashtray. I always carry wet ones with me so my husband and I both wiped our sides of the table and the filth that came off was revolting. See photos. We mentioned it to our waitress and she said all the tables were like that and it was because of the cleaner they had to use because of Covid. Fine, but a little elbow grease and we were able to get it clean. This, unfortunately set the tone for the rest of our meal. Then our food came out. We had the beef dip which was subpar and it came out on wooden cutting boards which were as disgusting as the tables. There was old food, grease and crud fused into the drip crack all along the sides. They were warped, cracked and very well used. I'm certain they wouldn't pass any kind health inspection. The chicken wings were slimy and just barely cooked. They were unappetizing looking and feeling. We left hungry and extremely dissatisfied. I get that wood decor is aesthetically pleasing, however, it's not working for the tables or the plates. For an establishment that collects so much revenue from gambling, the cleanliness of the attached restaurant is falling massively short. 10/10 would not recommend. Natalie is great though. Seriously awesome.
