OROLO Restaurant + Cocktail Bar

Wow what an amazing dinning experience. Service was amazing from our server. Food was some of the best I have had out. Well worth the cost.

Beautiful venue. Lacklustre service.

Was possibly the worst steak I have attempted to eat in 30 years. 40% gristle that couldn’t be cut or chewed and the rest cooked properly but somehow had absolutely no flavour.

Veggies and potatoes were delicious.

Would not recommend as there are several other local options that far exceed Orolo.

Abby our server was great! We were visiting penticton for the first time, and came in for happy hour food and drinks, and everything was absolutely amazing! The decor, the food and the service was top notch. Would 100% recommend, and hope we can come back soon.

This place is wonderful. Great food. Great local deals, make sure you let them know. Nice date night escape for us. The food is unbelievable and an eating experience in town. We had duck and chicken parm and would come back for both.

A perfect evening from start to finish. Lovely tasting to start, the
Unoaked chardonnay was the highlight! Followed up by an exceptional meal. Beef tartar, prawns to start followed by perfectly cooked steaks and the risotto was the best i have ever had. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable evening. Don't miss out.

Despite the fact that our experience with the food was excellent, I would not say the same about the service. It is very noticeable that the restaurant pays a lot of attention to every detail in the menu and the chef creates a piece of art from each dish. Incredibly tender shrimp, delicious warming soup and melting steak completed our unforgettable day full of wonderful adventures in Osoyoos. All this inspires to return, but not the service. We didn't feel welcome from the beginning.

We had an amazing dinner, maybe the best of our vacation. The rack of lamb was just perfect and the saffron risotto was great with either the roasted tomatoes or salmon as topping! The suggested wine pairings complimented the food perfectly. After dinner we got to visit the wine cellar and Caryn (?) told us a bit about winemaking in BC as well as their own story

From the service to the wine, too the food quality... I'll be talking about this place for a very long time. I had the aged Ribeye. I've had a lot of steak in my life... I've never tasted anything like this, ever. Every bite was extremely satisfying. The potatoes were incredible. I don't say this about any places, ever... eating here changed my appreciation for food. If you want a fantastic all-around experience that you'll remember for your entire life, go to OROLO. I could write about it all day, but you'd get as tired of it as the servers when I was telling them how amazing it was. Go here. Trust me.

The food was great! Went there for the happy hour and was super pleased with the quality of food at happy hour prices. If I lived in Penticton, this would be somewhere I would happily return. The calamari salad was amazing. Read the ingredients before you picture what it would be though, as 'calamari' for me anyway, makes me picture breaded and fried squid, and it definitely wasn't that. The amount of Humboldt squid was impressive!

We had an incredible dining experience at Orolo. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply delicious. The beef tartar and scallop crudo were both beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. For our main courses, the salmon and duck were cooked to perfection, with perfectly balanced flavors and surprisingly generous portions.

To top it off, we were blown away by the McWatters Collection Brut, one of the best Okanagan's Classic Method selections we've ever tasted. The Grenache from Evoc was also a standout, truly amazing.

Overall, Orolo exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return for another memorable meal.

Orolo is such a gem in Penticton! We came here for dinner and our whole group was raving about it. The atmosphere is really cool, the wines are delicious (nice to be able to do the tasting flights) and all the dishes we ordered were so tasty and had very generous portions. Our server Michelle was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I've been to Orolo several times now and the staff there are great! The mushroom risotto was amazing, we just wish there were more vegan options. Also dont care for walking past the dead fish and slabs of carcass on the way to the bathroom. However the drinks are good and well made. Chris and Caryn made the night very special!

Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options such as risotto, broccoli and creme Brule.

Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten free options.

A stunning restaurant that offers not only great wine but a number of handcrafted cocktails! My husband had the Orolo Burger and I had a dry aged 10oz striploin, whipped potatoes and broccolini, both dishes were cooked to perfection and very flavourful! Our server was very knowledgeable & friendly, ambience is amazing! Highly recommend this steakhouse, it’s a must in penticton!
