We love this place, my colleagues and I stop by here a couple times a week for coffee and a pastry. Always a great vibe, very happy staff and customers. The Patio is a great spot to chill, watch people and enjoy some sun. Also a hot chocolate/cookie combo is perfect for an afternoon daddy daughter date.

Fresh food, made with smiles, in an environment that washes the troubles off my shoulders. French clasic music and the clocks! Such a magical step into a relaxing cafe. Close your eyes and you are somewhere special.

Had some hot chocolates which tasted like luke warm milk water, also looked like it (no colouring). No flavoring at all, so we asked for some more flavoring (not even the bitterness they said we should taste) and the staff was quite rude and offered no alternative.
Always exceptional service. Best hazelnut croissants and amazing sourdough bread. 🥖 yum! 😋

An absolutely lovely bakery with such a friendly atmosphere, extremely kind ladies who work there. The pasteries are above and beyond-- I bought a cinnamon bun this morning and I have yet to find one that matches my late mother's, where the dough is more dense and almost like a baking-powder biscuit...Today I found one thanks to Petrasek. A very special moment to me that I needed to share. Thank you to all the lovely ladies who make that business one that stands out.

I would come here everyday, but they are closed Sunday's and Monday's usually and I would blow through my budget in no time.
Love the coffee and croissants. It's become a Saturaday morning ritual for the family.

*“Petrasek Artisan Bakery has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Penticton. The breads and pastries are excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The croissants and sourdough are especially worth trying, and the bakery itself has a warm, European feel that makes every visit enjoyable.
That said, I wasn’t as impressed with the pretzel — it was decent but not quite at the same level as their other baked goods. Still, overall this is a great local bakery and definitely worth a visit for anyone who loves fresh, handmade bread and pastries.”**

Went in 10 minutes after opening and everything was warm and fresh, got a blueberry custard pastry, hazelnut croissant and a pain au chocolate. Some of the best we’ve had in the Okanagan. We will be back to try some bread and other sneaky little treats.

There are many excellent reasons to visit Penticton and Petrasek is very high on the list! Pastries are fantastic. There was only brewed coffee available when we visited, poured from a flask. Generally this is a big no no for me, because I'm very particular about my coffee. This was the best tasting coffee I have ever had from a flask bar none! I didn't even know that was possible! A truly great coffee and cake break.

The lightest, most buttery, almond croissant I have found in the Okanagan! Sitting at the bistro tables on the sidewalk sipping morning coffee is a perfect start to another day in paradise.
