To call it “beautiful” would be to describe the Sistine Chapel as merely “nicely painted.” This is a place where terroir meets transcendence, where every sensory indulgence is a memorable one. Ah, the view! It sprawls like an Impressionist’s fever dream—verdant vineyards rolling toward the horizon in painterly hues of viridian and sun-kissed gold, all suspended beneath a sky too impossibly cerulean to be real.
But let us speak of the wine, that noble taste. Each pour is a chapter of an ancient text, scribed in fermented whispers and aged in reverent stillness - a brooding yet flirtatious varietal—dances across the tongue with the chiaroscuro complexity of a Tolstoyan heroine: at once spirited, melancholic, and persistently alluring. The staff, too, are paragons of discreet attentiveness and visual beauty. They also have a Renoire on site. Highly recommend.

A little gem right by Penticton Airport. They don’t have signs & billboards all over so it goes unnoticed, but well worth the stop! Really nice wines, great staff and the food was really good! Give it a try!

Outstanding meal at Sonetto at Play Estate Winery!We shared the Arancini as an appetizer, and I had the Pasta Alla Carbonara (with prawns added), and my wife had the Pan Seared Salmon. Everything was excellent.The staff did an amazing job of describing the menu and the ambiance and view is the most beautiful in the city.Can’t wait to go back!

We have been to Sonetto about six times. Easily the most beautiful dining room in Penticton, top quality food, friendly service. We especially like the antipasto and beef carpaccio. Oh, and the ganache. You should go.

Then to the patio… Lindsey was outstanding, and such a great hostess…!!!!Then the food….. OMG soooooo good.Mario the chef came out and shared a few “ trade secrets “…..this is now our new go to place in the okanagan….we will be back 100%…:)))

This is a good reminder to not always trust reviews…There were several saying this place was aloof, snobby, or disorganized. We had a very different experience in that the staff who did our wine tasting was friendly, relaxed, and just the right balance of attentive while giving space to try them on our own. We asked if we could have a glass each before deciding on what bottle to buy and they volunteered their patio without question.The staff member that served us on the patio was also friendly and eager to share the winery’s history and some of the complexities of the wine industry in the Okanagan right now.Ultimately a great experience and quite contrary to some of the more critical reviews.

Full package! The staff are friendly and on the ball... informative... in fact, they are lovely people. The food... perfetto!... fresh bread, charcuterie, the veal, warm olives... The view from the patio made us really slow down and enjoy how fortunate we are to be here in Penticton in a restaurant such as this with great food and great people.

What a gem of a place!! I organized a group of 35 from the BC Wine Appreciation Society to come for dinner and a tasting and we were blown away! The staff were so good, the wines delicious and the food... amazing! Great portions and so tasty, everything was perfectly cooked which can be challenging with a big group!! Every single person in our group raved about the dinner and tasting we had here. The views are also spectacular. Definitely add it to your Penticton stops.
