Must visit for anyone coming to Penticton. All the staff are welcoming and friendly individuals making a personal experience. Amazing wine selection (photo is the Teatro white wine) and the food is exceptional! The chef is extremely talented and makes sure each plate is beautiful and delicious (Photos are of the schnitzel options currently available). Another selling factor is the location overlooking the lake and town. Would recommend to anyone looking for a true BC winery with amazing views and eats.

What a hidden gem! We really enjoyed our meal and tasting at Play. The service from staff was fantastic, and the property itself is accompanied by phenomenal views of the lake valley. Despite a change in the restaurant, the food was fantastic, priced reasonably, and offered a variety to fit all palates.

Amazing view - calling this restaurant ‘The Vista’ is completely fitting of the incredible vista from the patio overlooking Skaha Lake. And the menu is tasty and very reasonably priced. Great appetizers for an afternoon bite and a happy hour deal that includes a bottle of Play Estate wine and 2 handhelds/flatbreads for $60! A definite place to try and then try again! ❤️

Went today for the happy hour. Tried the Smokanagan and Skaha Hills flatbreads. They were amazing. The service was excellent and the wine was great. Beautiful view from the patio and dining room. We look forward to returning for dinner. This is one of our new favorite places.

Had an excellent meal on the patio at The Vista restaurant with friends. Perfect spot to relax, enjoy some good food and wine and take in the spectacular views of Skaha Lake. Loved the fresh, approachable menu with lots of variations/gluten free options - such a unique find in the area!
We will be back - thanks Play Estate!

Absolutely stunning experience at Play Estate Winery! The tasting room is bright, spacious, and welcoming—with generous pours and friendly, knowledgeable staff. A special shoutout to Nathan, the General Manager, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. His warmth and professionalism truly stood out.

We also had the pleasure of dining at The Vista, the new on-site restaurant. The views of Skaha Lake are absolutely breathtaking—whether you're sitting inside or soaking up the sun on the patio. The food was fantastic, but the flatbreads were next-level—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their wines.

We took advantage of the happy hour special (two flatbreads and a bottle of wine for $60) and it was one of the best values we've come across in the Okanagan.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, don’t miss this gem. We’ll definitely be back! 🍷

Wild and Creative

Standing above the lake in a undulating tapestry of vines —where time, it seems, reclines languorously beneath pergolas of mythic serenity—Play Estate Winery is less a winery than an epiphany incarnate. To call it “beautiful” would be to describe the Sistine Chapel as merely “nicely painted.” This is a place where terroir meets transcendence, where every sensory indulgence is a memorable one. Ah, the view! It sprawls like an Impressionist’s fever dream—verdant vineyards rolling toward the horizon in painterly hues of viridian and sun-kissed gold, all suspended beneath a sky too impossibly cerulean to be real. But let us speak of the wine, that noble taste. Each pour is a chapter of an ancient text, scribed in fermented whispers and aged in reverent stillness - a brooding yet flirtatious varietal—dances across the tongue with the chiaroscuro complexity of a Tolstoyan heroine: at once spirited, melancholic, and persistently alluring. The staff, too, are paragons of discreet attentiveness and visual beauty. They also have a Renoire on site. Highly recommend.

A little gem right by Penticton Airport. They don’t have signs & billboards all over so it goes unnoticed, but well worth the stop! Really nice wines, great staff and the food was really good! Give it a try!
