I have been coming to this place for a very long time now. And I have not been disappointed once. They have the absolute best muffins ( this is the only bakery I get muffins from, because they are the only ones I love) . The coffee is excellent every time.
But the best part of going to the Bench are the people that serve you. Because let's be honest, and I can say this with confidence , as I do work in the service industry myself: No matter how good the food is, and how delicious the coffee, if the service sucks. We don't like to go back.
The experience I have made, is always great. Drew for example, she is so nice, kind and hospitable, no matter how busy the place. She always makes sure to acknowledge you with a warm smile and greeting, even when her hands are full and she's serving other people. I find it makes a world of a difference, even when the wait is a bit longer, you don't mind, because of how you are treated.
Her workmates are fabulous as well. Great job everyone. I just wanted to make sure that you know, your excellent service does not go unnoticed. You are a huge part in how successful the place is. Keep up the wonderful work and your beautiful smiles. We all appreciate you so much. Thank you!!

As a celiac person I would highly recommend their gluten free food!!! The chicken sandwich was loaded and the gluten free bread had a good texture, held together and tasty. Presentation was also wonderful. I couldn't have the cheese as it's dairy so they happily substituted with my choice of fresh lettuce. They also offer a gluten free double fudge cupcake which was fantastic!! I bought extras to take home. Even the tea and coffee were fresh and very tasty. The best part of all was the amazing, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They really made our experience for our first time being there memorable. A wonderful place to enjoy something different. Thank you for a Fantastic experience!

I’ve been a couple of times. Didn’t get salmon on my breakfast sandwich the first time. Manager says I’m good for another with it, but I didn’t find the food quality or amount keeps up with the prices… so far anyway. Lots of healthy food tho…if you can afford it.

Great place for lunch. Order inside from a menu of breakfast, brunch and lunch items. I had a salmon eggs bene, loaded with herbs and a hearty bread base., accompanied with hash browns. There is ample sitting outdoors on their terrace. A good pitstop while visiting wines in the Naramata Bench.

This breakfast place was quite busy during our visit, which speaks to its popularity. The staff were friendly, though the service could have been more attentive. The ordering process was a bit confusing, as it wasn’t clearly explained, and for our group of six the meals arrived at different times rather than together. The food was acceptable, but the pricing was high for what is was. The noise from the road was very intrusive and spoiled the atmosphere of outdoor dining. Overall, while there were some positives, the experience left room for improvement. I would not return due to low value.

We stopped in for espresso drinks and ended up ordering food, my club sandwich was the best I’ve had in as long as I can remember and her breakfast burrito was “the best I’ve ever had” we’re both foodies. Coffee was good not as impressive as the food!

Lovely little place close to the naramata bench. I really enjoyed the sunny breakfast I had from them. Only thing is I wish they had hashbrowns on the menu and some more options of pop like rootbeer. I liked the cup of black coffee I had, but before leaving I ordered a pumpkin spice latte to go and I didnt care for it much. I also really enjoyed the bite I took of my mom's eggwich. Would definitely come back here

Treat yourself now & later with this quaint business!
Good to get there early if you're going for breakfast on the weekend. A short distamce, but up hill from the beach-front hotels. Free street parking. Outdoor, dog-friendly seating for parties of 2-4 with umbrellas to provide shade & indoor seating included long table for larger groups. Order at the till and take a place card for table delivery of your items.
Available items include hot breakfast dishes, baked goods, and there's a little deli with cold drink and a variety of locally made condiments for sale.
