THE BISTRO at Hillside Winery

One of the best meals of my life.

I can't believe this. We wanted to have lunch at the bistro. Went inside and the server tells us that it is a 2 course luncheon menu. She continues to tell us what it was then told us the price was $60 per person. WHAT!! $120. FOR 2 PEOPLE FOR LUNCH..... we left. What this did was not only did this party of 6 leave but we also didn't try the wine......lunch was very bad for business.

Such a beautiful restaurant! Services are very nice and friendly! We ordered scallops Wilton pork belly, local wild mushrooms with bison wagyu (sausage), and lavender cream brûlée, and we recommend all of them!

My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday lunch, we got their autumn charcuterie board and paired it with 2 wine flights. The staff allowed me to come the day before and drop off a gift basket for him and when we came the next day they had the entire table set up with decorations, fresh waters, and the presents. It was fantastic! Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines and she even allowed us to sample a few we didn't try in the flight. The food was great, our favourite was fresh bread basket as they were all served warm and super fresh. I would highly recommend the warm apple cake, by far one of the best desserts I have had in a long time. Thank you Hillside staff!

Lovely evening at Hillside Bistro. Thanksgiving dinner for two was delicious and inventive with just enough of the traditional flavours. Wine parings were excellent. Originally reserved a spot inside but decided on the patio instead and the change was made cheerfully by Sarah who also provided attentive service for the rest of the evening. I make it a point to visit when we are in Penticton and I have never been disappointed. Thank you

We ordered the Tomahawk steak with starter bread for my husband's birthday dinner. It was absolutely amazing! The service was friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be going back! Highly recommend:)

Some main courses were quite small for the price. But the atmosphere, service, and wine tasting before dinner was phenomenal

We had the most amazing experience from the wine, food, view and our fabulous service from Sarah! Could not recommend this place more! I was very impressed!

We were really disappointed in our experience at the Bistro. Previous visits were great. But this time it was a complete let down.
All the food arrived at the table cold, the sauces were congealed and bread was stale the $6 blue cheese butter was hard as a rock and not spreadable. Our Duck Confit taco shells were chewy and stale, the gnocchi was dry as heck and prawns were overcooked.
All in all a complete disappointment.
The only saving grace was they comp’d a couple dishes that should have never left the kitchen.

Next time on the bench we will be skipping Hillside all together!

I love Penticton and go often. Unfortunately my favorite winery was closed for the summer and I had to try another one.
After a conscious review, I chose this one to try and dine.

They chose the wines for you, none of them were outstanding?

The food is nothing extraordinary,
Impressive in price and tiny in size.

There are tastes for everyone, but for me, it was not a good experience.

What a beautiful, magical, sensual, wonderful ,dinner experience!!! Absolutely loved the waitress Sarah; she was so joyful and fun! It was certainly the highlight of our trip to Naramata! Exceptional service, very relaxed. Love the two course menu format. The three of us had different appetizers and entrees, allowing for samplings of each other's meals. All were very tasty and unique. The view...breathtaking. We enjoyed our all time favourite wine, un-Oaked pino gris. You can tell this is our favourite winery and bistro. Thank you Hillside for another wonderful experience.

We tried the panzarella salad, walnut tart, gnocchi with prawns, and pork belly with scallops. All were excellent and the salad and pork belly were standouts! Service was excellent.
