Alberni Brewing Company

Went for dinner with group of six. Service was very slow despite most tables being empty. The water glasses we were given were covered with lipstick, bits of food, and other unsavoury anomalies. Some of us cleaned our glasses while others just didn’t drink water.
One person in my group ordered a margarita without the salted rim, then the drink came with a salted rim. The server took it back and brought a new one, which was so salty it tasted like they just dumped the drink into a different glass. The server insisted it was a new drink.
One person ordered a cider. It was served with a glass and ice, but unfortunately the glass and ice were both dirty and covered with bits of food and grime.
The food eventually came, and it was all pretty good except the nachos were a little disappointing. The burgers were good but not exactly generous with the toppings or sauces.
The beers were alright. Prices were not great. Overall, not sure I’ll come back considering the cleanliness, slow service, and price.

Paid for a cider, cocktail, calamari, and a burger. The only eatable item was the burger which came hot if not a little over done. The sauce and onions on the French onion were well balanced. That's as good as it got. The Blue Hawaiian was overly sweet but drinkable. The cider was semi dry and local but tasted watered down and a whisper of apple. The calamari arrived cold, chewy, and moist. 2 bites of that and we were done. The fries with the burger arrived cold and were left barely touched.
The service was decent though no comments were made about our barely touched food.

Loved this place! Some places are “dog friendly” but this place raises the bar if you enjoy taking your dog on a patio. The outdoor patio has turf and water bowls for the comfort of your dog. The covered patio has dog beds and they have home made dog treats for your dogs…for free.
Beer-I loved the Done Pedro and the Hazy. Wish I could buy it in Edmonton.
The food was also great, all 4 of us had different things and everyone enjoyed it. Dogs also enjoyed the home made treats.

Everything was great from the moment we arrived. Our server was excellent and always made sure that we were well looked after. Highly recommend Alberni Brewing and the beer was very good too.

This is my favorite brewery in port! Aside from the good beer- The food is great, awesome service, and good vibes! It has great ambiance, inside and out. Well put together brewery.

Fantastic meal, service and drinks. Servers were great and provided good recommendations. Food was excellent all around with everyone enjoying their meal. Highly recommend, we might even try to sneak in one more meal before we leave!

Very good food and services

Nice place to go in Port Alberni that is open in the weekday evening. Had the cider flight it was very good. Prices are reasonable.

I was really hopefully I would enjoy this brewery after passing by many times. Unfortunately, we had nothing but a negative experience. Our entire group received food poisoning after eating here. None of our food arrived at the same time, with half our group waiting 15+min to receive food after others did (there was only 4 of us). In the end, some food didn’t arrive until after our group finished eating and we had cancelled those items. They then awkwardly brought the meal out and convinced our international friends to pay for it and take it to go even though we said we didn’t want it. This was some of the worst service I have received in a long time. I highly advise taking your business somewhere else.

Beer is the only thing here. Food was bad : burgers & sandwiches were served cold and extry dry ... after 30min waiting they recooked another burger which takes an extra 15min. I couldn't enjoy a meal a the same time with my wife. Bad experience!

I’ve been to Alberni Brewing multiple times, tried burger, chicken burger, steak dip, and multiple drinks ( I don’t drink beer so this is not a beer review). The only reason I go there is with friends and because people keep giving us gift certificates too there. The food is edible but far from good so if it’s good food you’re after, eat somewhere else. It’s also really loud in there which makes conversations with your group challenging at times. I will go back, (still have a couple gift certificates) but it’s definitely not my go to place, nor a place I would recommend it if someone asked me to suggest a good place to go eat.
