Absolutlely delightful resteraunt. What an improvement from the previous incarnation. Excellent service, and the food is worthy of a Michelin Experience in Paris. Each item on the menu is worth enjoying. 5 of 5 stars. The Owners come and talk to the guests and make them feel right at home. There is not a moment where regret enters your mind. I will recommend this resteraunt to out of towners and locals alike. Worth the stop to sample this star on Argyle Street. At least more than once.

I came into the Brie and Barrel with some friends and family for a nice dinner. Keanna, our server was lovely! She looked after all our needs and knew exactly when to come and assist us. The menu has a lot of really great options for the cold months. I went with the Baked Brie as an appetizer- which was fantastic- followed by the Chicken Cordon Brie. We had a nice booth which was very private, lovely to interact with friends and family. I would give this place 10 stars if possible, will be back soon!!

There is no question this is one of the best meals that I have had in a long time. The atmosphere to start with is so relaxing, calms and welcoming with nice music and place settings.
We were welcomed by Keanna who was a joy. She made some fabulous drinks and was very attentive.
We had the baked Brie, one of my favorite I have had. A must for sure.
On to the Short ribs and the lamb. So yummy!
Last thing was the chocolate Mousse, which I would recommend asking that they dont add the Carmel to, just makes it too sweet.
We will be back anytime we are in town. Love the family atmosphere (Keanna's Mom and her sister run the kitchen.

The food was incredibly flavourful . I struggle to describe this five star gastronomic experience ! The catch of the day , cod settled on mini roasted potatoes in a nest of garlic parsley lemon all framed with grilled mini tomatoes grilled with yellow sweet peppers !!! Pictures would not do this dish justice . My husband had the lamb also a jewel of a dish! We shared a homemade balaclava , not sticky sweet, with plenty of pistachio ! Not a meal to be rushed!

We finally made it into Brie & Barrel on September 5th. The service was amazingly provided by Keanna, daughter of Chef Bouchra extraordinaire. What a meal. We started off and shared the Green Hummus & Baguette, so delicious, beautiful creamy garlic texture, along with the crunch of toasted walnuts and crostini’s, and a touch of sweetness from the pomegranate molasses. I selected the Beef Short Rib M’Hamer as my main. The short rib was seasoned superbly in Moroccan spices and incredibly tender. Seasonal vegetables along with roasted potatoes, almonds and candied apricot balances the meat. The combination of spices and textures was like a dance party in my mouth. I loved how layered the meal tasted. I paired my meal with a flight of International red wines, which was an excellent accompaniment. My husband chose Moroccan Lamb Tagine, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Not being large eaters, we were only able to finish half the meal each. The bonus, was that we had leftovers the next day, and were able to swap meals to try each other’s selection. Both were excellent dishes. A very unique food experience. A return visit is well warranted.
We had an amazing meal and wonderful service. I love that when I leave there I feel great as the food is so healthy and delicious, many layers of amazing flavors to each dish we ate.
