boats were not up to par. the motor kept stalling. we had to call the staff every other hour on my stag to get someone to repair and fix the engine cause it kept.failing and stopping. Fun but not worth the money if were going to have faulty engines consistently.
Staff was amazing there was an an issue with the boat we booked not being ready and they offered us a pontoon boat at no extra charge. The boat was in great shape and was a blast to cruise around the lake. Highly recommend renting from here. We'll definitely be doing it again.
Such a fun experience - couldn't recommend more. Very helpful and professional staff
We had a wonderful experience staying at Fish & Duck Resort. The houseboat was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. Our family group had a truly unique and memorable time.
A special thanks to Gerry and the team—they were incredibly accommodating and made everything go smoothly. Their hospitality really elevated our stay.
We highly recommend experiencing the houseboat, and we’re already looking forward to visiting again soon!
Rented one of their houseboats for a bachelor party and everything went great! Enough room and facilities for 11 people. Boat was clean and everything was in working order. Staff at the F&D were great too. Professional, reasonable and knowledgable. I would 100% rent a houseboat from them again.
Stunning little spot next to the lake. Staff are very nice, going above and beyond with the service. We couldn't try the whole menu as we visited too early in the season but the pub is nice. Kayaks were a cherry on the top.
Amazing way to experience Sproat Lake!
I love this place. Being out on one of those boats is one of the most peaceful, fun, amazing experiences we've ever had. AND splitting the cost with family and friends makes it very affordable. Sproat Lake is stunning, warm and feels like velvet when swimming. The boat has a hot tub!! And behind it is a raised roof of one of the bedrooms we used as a dance floor!!
We all agreed it;'s a hidden treasure, and we will be back and back and back and back again!!!
We especially enjoyed the serene mornings by the lake, watching the mist rise gently from the water as the sun began to peek over the horizon. The peaceful environment allowed us to truly unwind and reconnect with nature. Each day was filled with delightful activities, from kayaking on the crystal-clear waters to exploring the scenic hiking trails that surround the area. In the evenings, we gathered around the campfire, sharing stories and laughter under a canopy of stars. It's a place where memories are made, and we're already counting down the days until our next visit.
Amazing spot with gorgeous views and the best summer activities!

We’ve had a great time performing at the Fish & Duck Pub. The staff were very awesome and fun to work with. The patrons helped provide a fun environment. We’d definitely come back if they’d have us. Also DELICIOUS FOOD The Bad Decisions Comedy Tour
Wow! What an escape! Vancouver Island’s best kept secret. Warm lake water and hot tubs.
I live in Ucluelet and we made it a staycation getaway. First, the pub overlooks the lake. Make sure you get there early to eat before you leave. Get take out for the boat. Everything is good.
The houseboats are enormous. They have everything and more. The boat cruises effortlessly as you venture the giant unknown Sprout Lake! We found the perfect spot where the boat is landed on shore and the back of the boat is in 30+ feet of water to dive into. The water was warm! Swim at night warm. The hot tub!!! The hot tub is as hot as you choose and give 360 views of your parking spot.
Will book every year. The staff and owners are AMAZING! Enjoy! And your welcome!
We had an amazing trip, thank you.
Really fun experience and boat was spacious for 2 families. They allow 15 people, but I wouldn’t recommend that.
Not as many beaches to park for the evening as we thought but we went during the week so it was quiet. Apparently, the weekends are crazy.
I would return.
If you’re looking for an exceptional experience in the nature, the houseboat’s offerings are a must!
I had an amazing time celebrating my weekend over the weekend and I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a great experience!
