Food was really good, portions substantial, but I have had better seafood fettuccine. The cheese on the lasagna got really hard when cooled and the sauce in it was tasty but not quite enough of it.The server was adorable and hard working. The place was nice.Parking is a bit confusing if you don't know PoCo that well. Be prepared to circle the block.

Ordered through skip wanted to try new restaurants in the area.. $ 70 for Calamari, one small cheese pizza and one medium veggie.Calamari came very soggy and chewy. The two pizzas no flavor just a thick dough with tomato paste taste. if I had Opa calamari and Domino's It'd be better!

Ordered a meat lover’s pizza , the quality of the food is excellent. I’m not into spicy meats on a pizza and there was one topping that was spicer than I personally like . Others in the house really liked it…. Next time will ask before ordering ….

Without getting too detailed, my experiences with Sparta have been ultimately disappointing.They definitely have the business longevity going for them but are now operating like they're in their last phase of operations before moving on/retiring.They are very eager about money over quality and dine-in service, and take out orders will get first priority. Although they are a private business who may do as they like, their operation doesn't jive with Poco's vibrancy plan for this important area.The good reviews may be from regulars/long time loyal customers who will defend ownership, so beware.

My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day in Sparta for dinner, our first time yesterday, and what a big disappointment, service was very slow ,our reservation was 5 pm and arrived on time and ordered as soon as the server came we ordered right away, Wow, we waited an hour and finally they gave us hummus and pita bread, more wait, though every body was waiting ,no food is coming, finally the food came after almost one and a half hour, the rice was cold, food was overpriced, We thought we will support our neighbors business, but never again, we will go back to our New West Greek restaurant.

My family has frequented Sparta since way back in the early 80's when it was Empire Pizza. We've always had a good meal and time at Sparta however our last visit was amazing, both for food and service! Looking forward to going back again very soon.

We made a reservation. After we arrived we were able to order our meals within 10 minutes and get our drinks. However, after an hour, we complained about not receiving our order. She finally brought one meal out of the 4 meals. The waitress brought one more meal 15 minutes later. Finally another 10 minutes passed and they brought the other 2 meals, which was served cold.We let the management know about it. She credited the 2 meals. However, we had a terrible experience. We left and went somewhere else for dessert and coffee.
