Really like coming to Waves. Fred, the owner, is always super friendly and welcoming. One time I was in there and he went out of his way to check in on me, make sure everything was good, and even remembered what I usually order. Just a really genuine and friendly guy who makes you feel welcome. Great coffee and great service!
I am a huge peanut butter fan so I was excited to try the Nutty Cloud. The texture is so awful as the peanut butter isn’t blended so it’s just chunks floating around and it’s horrendous.

Waves Coffee House - Shaughnessy is a beautiful place with friendly staff. The hazelnut latte is amazing, and the hot chocolate with whipped cream is a hit with kids. The staff, including the owner, Amir, and Natalie, provide excellent customer service making it a delightful experience. The cafe offers a relaxing atmosphere, with soft and relaxing music that creates a comfortable space to enjoy your coffee at a leisurely pace. They serve beverages in real china, adding a nice touch to the experience. Customers often find it to be a no-rush place, perfect for taking their time. The cafe sometimes hosts live music on Fridays, which adds to the lively and enjoyable environment. The friendly and professional team, along with the support for local cafes, makes this spot highly recommended for delicious drinks and sweets. Overall, it is a great spot to relax, enjoy a good coffee, and support the community. Will definitely be back when in BC.
