Maybe an off night? But very expensive for what we ate. Almost an hour wait for entrees, with only one other table occupied. Salmon way over cooked, dry & crispy. Tenderloin way undercooked; not as we requested. Pappardelle had lots of mushrooms and was good. Whilst tasty, the watermelon salad was very minimal. Good wine list, very nice atmosphere, food quite expensive and underwhelming.

Maybe an off night, but not a good experience, especially at THOSE prices! Good wine list, nice atmosphere. Food was substandard. Tenderloin was very undercooked, not what we asked for. Salmon was extremely overcooked - dry, crispy, hard to eat that way. Mushroom papardelle had lots of mushrooms and was tasty. Watermelon salad was pretty minimal for that price. Food took almost 45 minutes, with only one other table seated. Overall, wouldn't recommend
Once agian we took another guest there for a fabulous meal Jasper the chef cooked my beef tenderloin to a perfect med rare . Our guest shared the watermelon salad and charcuterie board with my wife beside looking beautiful they both said it was so delicious thanks so much Jasper . Suk was agian our hostess and she did an awesome job always seemed to know when we were short on water or needed a refill of wine. It was our 5th visit there and we can't wait till we can go back for a 6th and 7th visit . Thanks Ha me
Wonderful dining experience, not an everyday restaurant, wonderful service, excellent dishes, on the pricey side.
Had the braised bison rib. Could've used a sauce of some kind. It was dry & lacked flavour. Everything else was good. Appetizer plate - duck carpaccio overcooked & very salty.
Best restaurant in Port Hardy.

Unique First Nations inspored experience in a modern and restaurant setting - great food, excellent service
The service was perfect, friendly staff in the dining room. Food was excellent, especially, the beef tenderloin. We will highly recommend this restaurant to all we know.
Beautiful food that celebrates the ingredients. Fantastic service that was knowledgeable, attentive and discreet. Great cocktails (recommend the sea salt negroni!) and beautiful wine list.
Excellent food and the indigenous wine was pleasantly delicious. I think some of the items were over priced or very small portions but at least we didn't leave overstuffed. I would definitely recommend trying this place for a quiet evening and great food.

Fabulous menu and true to its goal of being indigenous inspired. The entree “Tides and Pasture Platter” was a fantastic feast for two, at only $23. They also offered very reasonably priced quality bottles of wine.

ha’me’ Restaurant strikes a great balance between modern dining and cultural storytelling. The contemporary setting is elevated by striking Indigenous-inspired art, creating an atmosphere that feels both stylish and meaningful. The service was flawless – warm, attentive, and perfectly timed.
The menu is on the smaller side, and while everything we tried was executed really well – the tuna tataki was fantastic, the wild mushroom pasta rich and flavorful, and the bison short rib tender (though missing a bit of sauce and punch) – the overall selection left me wishing for a bit more creativity and a stronger local touch.
All in all, it was a memorable evening with excellent service and very good food, but the menu could use that extra spark to truly match the promise of the setting.

We’ve been to Ha’me’ restaurant twice now, and each time has been such a wonderful experience. The service is warm and attentive, the food is absolutely delicious, and the overall atmosphere makes it a place you truly want to come back to.

This really is a GREAT find, especially at the North End of Vancouver Island. Note that ratings are based on 'World scale' and not against other restaurants in the area (in which case it would be all 5's). The young lady serving us was exceptional, the Wine List remarkable, and the meals were very tasty. Definitely worth driving to even if not in the immediate area. The only downside was a group who were exceptionally loud for a sustained length of time until they wore themselves out and left. While not the Staff's fault, it is unfortunate that the establishment did not ask the group to show so consideration to other patrons.
Loved everything ~ absolutely beautiful cultural artwork, decor, and locally inspired menu … Im definitely coming back next week to try more menu items! Beautiful place for celebrating and enjoying the North Island ✨🦅
