“Was visiting Port Hardy for my kids hockey tournament and I stumbled across the Market Street Cafe this morning. Upon entering I immediately felt the warmth and comfort of this establishment. I was greeted by the owner and she was super friendly and mentioned that they had been operating for 18 years. I can understand why, this cafe is cute, eclectic, and cozy. It was early and there were only a few diners but one of them mentioned that they had been coming here for years and that is was a great place. I ordered the breakfast wrap and the owner (I wish I had gotten her name), whipped into the back and made it fresh for me. The menu was broad and everything looked good. I wish I could have tried everything. The wrap was delicious and a generous size and the coffee was fresh hot and flavourful. Thanks to the Market Street Cafe. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.”

“Had my birthday dinner there earlier this year. The food was delicious and im glad they reccomended i get a sapporo for my drink. After the meal i was given a slice of cake for free. We thought he had overheard us talking about my birthday but he was just being nice and was suprised when we told him about my birthday and so he ran to grab me a candle. It was awesome. Would rate higher if i could made my birthday so much better!”

“Very impressed with the Valentines Day Dinner. Booking a table was a bit difficult to confirm but after that. WOW, showed up, table settings were great, atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable. Service with a smile and the food was fantastic. Very happy to see this level of food, service and atmosphere stepping up to the plate in Port Hardy. “A local gem. My first time in Port Hardy and you can see this is a popular place.Had the daily soup which was tomato soup and boy you can just taste how fresh it was! It was like they picked the tomatoes the same day.Definitely come here for a meal.”

“Tiny little restaurant, quite charming. The food, oh wow....absolutely some of the best sushi I've had. Fresh, delicious and so tasty. The waitress was running around as they were short staffed and she was the only one on for the patrons. She did an amazing job, we left her a huge tip! Food was a little slower due to understaffing but it was served and plated with beauty and elegance. When with you she was unrushed even though she had a billion other things to do. This woman was flat out phenomenal! Portions were huge and take out containers were needed.”

“Delicious food by an extremely kind and generous couple. We arrived in Port Hardy near to closing time. They stayed open for us, allowed us to eat inside the mall and served the most tasty food. We couldn’t have asked for more. We hope more people discover this wonderful couple and their food.”

“Really nice having a drive through option for coffee North Island. Drinks have been very good. Haven't been inside but the drive through was quick and friendly. Faster getting coffee here then A&W and a lot better. Great job on creating a cool spot.”

“Good food ..clean place...fast service...excellent staff...the reason for 4 stars is that you cannot sit outside to eat your meal..perfect location for a bench outside in the sunshine so i ate in my car..otherwise its a 5 star”

“I don’t understand the negative reviews, the new owners food seems just as good, if not better than the old. There is never a mistake on my order, the waitress is always very diligent in ensuring the order is filled correctly.”

“I went in person and was pleased to find a nice little family run pizzeria, with a fully equipped kitchen and good variety of menu items.I wasn't sure what to expect as there are not many choices for pizza in town, but it's actually very good by my pizza snob standards! There are a good amount of toppings, and everything is perfectly cooked and tasty.I did have one negative about the experience, unfortunately. The fellow taking my order seemed rather busy and distracted, and I ended up getting bacon on my pizza instead of mushrooms. This is not a big deal as I like bacon, and the pizza was still delicious. But I can't pretend I wasn't a little disappointed by that.Mistakes happen and I am looking forward to eating here again next time I am in townParking: Plenty strip mall parking”
