I ave just ordered tonight for take out and what a pleasant surprise ! Very tasty food :) The only concern that I have is these plastic container .... Bamboo or recycable cardboard (food safe) would be more appeciated !
Great sushi. Great service.
Waited a bit for the food (they note a staff shortage) but it was worth it. Nice spot in Port Hardy.

Karai Sushi is a charming little restaurant known for some of the best sushi around. Despite being short-staffed, the waitress provided amazing service, and the food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated. The portions are generous, making it a great choice whether dining in or ordering takeout. The menu features standout items like the tuna sashimi, which melts in your mouth, and the house roll, which exceeds expectations. The Calimarvelous, with its perfectly deep-fried squid and delightful reduction sauce, impressed many, along with the superb Ebi Mayo, which features prawns and a rich sauce. The Rupert roll was described as the best in memory, topped with an addition that blew diners away. The restaurant's atmosphere is spot on, and the overall experience is highly recommended for sushi lovers. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the friendly service adds to the top-notch experience. Whether for a quick bite or a special meal, Karai Sushi is a must-visit spot on the island.
