Incredible food. There atmosphere is spot on and the service was perfect. We ordered a mountain of food and every morsel was fabulous.
The Calimarvelous was calimari as I've never seen before. The sauce it comes with is a delightful reduction over perfectly deep fried and thinly sliced squid.
The Ebi Mayo was superb. The prawns and the sauce were beyond the pale. Peak dining.
I had the Rupert roll. It was the best roll in memory. The topping was an addition that blew me away.
Looking from the street you wouldn't think you were looking at the best sushi on the island. 100% will return.
We were in Port Hardy on vacation for a few days and decided to order takeout from Karai Sushi. We were extremely impressed by the quality of the food. The chicken teriyaki, udon veggie soup, sashimi, and nigiri were excellent. My wife told me that the udon veggie soup was the best she's ever had (she ordered it spicy). The food was so good that I called the restaurant to thank them. If you like sushi, you can't go wrong with Karai Sushi 🍣!!
Excellent food, even though the sign said short staffed, service was quick on a busy dinner hour.
Great food and big portions. Great sushi spot for a small town. If you are in the area I would recommend stopping by
My two children and I enjoyed plenty of food. We ordered dynamite rolls, chicken udon, and Angry chicken. The main server was very friendly as well and explained everything kindly. And they recommend the right one for us. Every time we walk in front of this restaurant, they tell me I get saliva in my mouth.
Lovely little spot on the Main Street. Almost like a small diner vibe and with the shades pulled down it lets you see out but makes it feel like a small oasis. In here you are not distracted from enjoying your delicious sushi. They also have a great Korean menu. Miso soup was delicious with both scallions and crispy onion.
Excellent oshi and fantastic wonton. Service was amazing and atmosphere was much quieter and more inviting than the other place in town.
Waitress was very kind and welcoming, knowledgeable to answer any questions. Had the California roll, 8 fairly large pieces for the price was awesome. Crab was dosed in a nice mayo like condiment and made the roll so silky and smooth. First time here, would go back!
They do say they are low staff so with that in mind it was good. Little expensive but that's like anything on the island.
I had a dynamite roll and the Angry CK chicken bowl. Both were excellent and I'll seek this out next time I'm in town. The server was pleasant and timely. The food was hot and high quality.
No WIFI was the only criticism.
