Aroma Indian Restaurant & Lounge

Ordered from here twice. The first time their butter lamb and curries were really good, the Nan was a little bit too thick and not good quality but the gravy made up for that.
Just ordered again last night and the gravies had no spices or flavour especially the meats. The chicken and lamb had no marination at all and were very dry in the gravy. Had no taste. I’ve never had such a badly executed Indian dish before so we will be looking for another place. I can’t be spending $50-$70 for dinner and it be cut short by whoever is the cook that day. Inconsistent.

UPDATE : OCTOBER 17 /25 I thought I’d give an updated review of this place that I’ve been coming for years. The staff and the owner are always spot on fantastic. The food is always incredible one of the best Indian cuisines and all of the lower mainland.

If you have not tried this place do yourself a favour and visit you will not be disappointed! There is a reason why I drive all the way from Brentwood Burnaby area over and over again lol

I ordered from this spot and was gravely disappointed. The chili fish was just bathed in a sour ketchupy, cumin sauce. The naan was incredibly stale and difficult to break apart.

My friend and I found this special place right near my childhood home, and we decided to try it and it was honestly the best! Everything tasted soooo delicious! I can’t stop talking about it! I got the Curry Chicken medium spice with garlic nan & rice! Our server CM was sooo nice 😊! I’ll definitely be coming back again someday!!

Take out mild-medium 2 naan + aloo gobi. Oil leaked from brown bag onto my car seat. Hubby and I took a bite it was spicy as hell. Clearly mention cannot eat spice while ordering make sure mild to medium. Called restaurant and guy name Sumit couldn’t help me. Told him we are handicap and cannot drive all the way from Westwood plateau. Also this is our food for today. Poor listening skills and tasteless spicy aloo gobi ever.

Me and my buddy just had our dinner from this restaurant and I can say that the food was really delicious especially the daal makhni was creamy and had balance flavours, talking about the customer service that was also very nice, the girl serving us very professional and soft spoken.

Took take out again. always a treat. Fresh very flavorful, meat tender. Unfortunately my appetite can't keep up with all the delicious food. Have yet to have a disappointing dish. The take out came in a cardboard box. Very clever practical idea, thanks aroma!
