Black Sugar Coffee House

Cozy local coffee shop with a nice vibe and great atmosphere. I loved the selection of drinks and pastries – the latte I had was smooth and flavorful. The place feels relaxing and welcoming, with plenty of natural light.

Service was friendly, but a bit slow during my visit. Also, while the quality of food and drinks was good, the pricing felt slightly on the higher end for what you get.

Still a solid spot to hang out or work for a while. I’d come back again!

A nice selection of baked goods which seem to be made there.
They have a very nice location on the corner of the street with plenty of natural lighting. Great location for families, hanging out, or checking in on your emails and social media :).
My cafe latte was a bit too hot, but overall tasty. If I’m in the neighborhood I would come back again.

I’ve been going to Black Sugar for 4 years .. staff are amazing and friendly ..baked goods are fresh out of the oven daily .. sandwiches made fresh in house and place is always clean and inviting!!

I visited Black Sugar Coffee Shop and unfortunately found a hair in my sandwich. When I brought it to the staff, they offered me either a new sandwich or half off but the way it was handled felt underwhelming and dismissive.

Food hygiene is a basic expectation, and this situation made me question their kitchen cleanliness. Mistakes can happen, but it’s how they’re addressed that really matters. I would’ve appreciated a more thoughtful response like a full refund or genuine concern about food safety.

Hopefully they take this feedback seriously and improve both their standards and customer service.

Sweet little neighborhood coffee shop. I was there for z business meeting
- free wifi. There were also parents with children and friends meeting. It was a great spot for everyone. I'm not sure of the food selection- I kinda stopped at the gluten free peanut butter square. Parking is on the street and side streets. Cute place!

Such a lovely coffee shop! The staff were super nice and greeted me with a cheerful “good morning” and a warm “thank you.” There’s even a little area for kids, which is a great touch. I really loved the vibe and attitude there. So happy I stopped by!

I visited Black Sugar Cafe in Port Moody and ordered an iced macchiato. The drink was smooth, rich, and had a great balance of espresso and sweetness. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and modern, perfect for relaxing or catching up on work. The staff were friendly and efficient, and my drink was ready quickly. I loved the attention to detail in both the presentation and flavor. This spot is a hidden gem for coffee lovers in the area. I’ll definitely be returning to try more from their menu. ☕️

Stopped off for a quick cuppa. Wow. Welcoming atmosphere, staff cheery and helpful. Extra hot cappuccino with great balance of acidity. Fresh baked Vegan Lemon Poppyseed Loaf, fine crumb, complex flavors. 12 out of 10.

My go to for the past few years, staff are always lovely and welcoming, coffee is my absolute favourite and baked goods are great too, like no other to be honest ☺️ confidently recommend to anyone visiting port moody

Lovely place, I love the caramel macchiato, although I think their go-to cup should be larger since we order a large size. Otherwise, I adore the teddy bear they had including the cozy atmosphere.

The best vanilla latte ever!!! And the staff are always super kind :)
