Excellent Excellent Excellent …. my highest rating for EXACTLY what I look for when cycling the city …. awesome personable service ….met the owner …laughed about baking ….very high quality standards on food and coffee . This is as good as it gets. Owners should be very proud of this neighbourhood bakery and coffee shop . Baking right in the store so all fresh . Italian coffee machine .

Best bread ever (locally). Specializes (on the bread front) in tradition farmhouse style loaves. All are excellent. They also have all the usual suspects (baguettes etc) and baked treats that are amazing.
Only knock against them is that they tend to sell out fast and forget about calling them to check for availability. No answer on multiple occasions. When you’re in the shop, staff are as good as gold and very helpful. Very limited seating for eat in diners.

Great coffee from local roaster, Continuum, and selection of pastries. Tried the chocolate croissant, strawberry hand pie, and strawberry danish.
Get there early before items sell out!
Worlds greatest bake house.

Lovely bakery with high-quality baked goods. Got a little corner in the shop where you can spend some me-time with croissant and espresso. Too bad I don't have the luxury to do so, so always ended up just taking some breads to go. Love their baguettes! Recommend coming early before they are all gone.

Absolutely amazing bakery. It’s so rare to see the bakery that is so thoughtfully organized, from ingredients to suppliers and the philosophy. You can really feel how every piece of product is made with dedication, attention to details and love. Thank you for doing what you do.

All types of bread here are great and made with care and great bread making knowledge. Some keywords I would use are, Sourdough, Organic, spelt, multi grain, rye, spud , focaccia, baguette. The whole family loves the Shokupan. It's soft, fluffy and does not fall apart. It is available on Sundays only. Shokupan is $10.25 a loaf, but it is huge! They also have half loafs too. I did not mention the pastries. They are fantastic! They also have limited seating to enjoy your pastries with coffee.
