Really solid sushi spot with lots of seating and AA quality for the price. They have a really good volcano chicken I believe it's called. Competitive pricing for quality and a neighborhood staple.

This place used to be my fav
But after my last terrible experience with their bad costumer service especialy that young boy which is very rude
It took them around 40 minutes to bring a roll for us
This place is not a place worth spending time and money

Really good sushi, just left and although there was a mess up on the order, they accommodated and took it off the bill which we appreciated.
The sushi here is incredibly fresh, and each dish is beautifully presented with attention to detail. The friendly staff and warm atmosphere make for a delightful dining experience every time!

Hanayuki is as delicious as the rumors say. The food I ordered was delicious and the portions were generous. The restaurant atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. It was a pleasant meal.

Dined in and got an unwelcome guest in our tea cup as u can see from the photo
Food was ok but the service was really lacking;; no one ever came by unless we waved down someone for 5 minutes
I was nearby for work, so I grabbed a simple lunch with my mom at this restaurant on Thursday. The first server, a lady, guided us to our seats and helped us order two lunch deals and an additional side. The food tasted fine, and the prices were okay. The environment was decent, but the service was shockingly rude.
When my mom asked for takeout boxes and the bill, a different, younger male server came by, literally tossed the boxes onto the table, and walked away. When he returned with the bill and card machine, he dropped them on the table and left again without a word. It was the worst dining experience I've ever had. He didn’t say a single sentence to us the entire time, and I wondered how he was even qualified to be a server. I still paid the 12% tip because I was in a rush and a client was messaging me. Miraculously, the moment he saw I left a tip, he finally said, 'Thank you.'
If I hadn’t been in a rush, I would’ve found the manager and asked if this is how they treat customers. To top it off, as we were finishing our conversation and about to leave, the first lady server came up and started clearing the table while we were still sitting, with food still on the table. Asking a simple question like, 'Is it okay to take your plates away?' wouldn’t have hurt. I’m genuinely curious—is it that hard for them to communicate with customers? I understand wanting to clean up, but all the tables around us were empty.
I felt like we were being treated like parasites, where no one wanted to serve us. I will never visit this place again—no one on earth should be treated like that.

Apologies to my former fav sushi restaurant but, Hanayuki is officially my new favorite Sushi Restaurant in the lower mainland.
The food came out so quickly, the staff were super friendly and accommodating despite us arriving an hour before closing, and the atmosphere was warm with very cozy seating.
It is close to some popular local spots like Rocky Point, Belcara, Sasamat Lake, and Buntzen so we will be back again regularly which is an absolute treat.
The quality of the food and fish was unparalleled and the miso soup really hit the spot after a cold swim. My friend had the Tonkatsu which she said was the best she has had in a long time and the closest to what she makes at home.
I really recommend the Salmon Run Roll and the Tataki Attack Roll. The gyoza is very crispy and the Toro melts in your mouth.
I cannot wait to go again and bring more of our family too!

Ate here for the first time ever tonight and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was so polite and fast, right from the door everyone was friendly and welcoming. Most of all though, the food was amazing! The portions are huge for the cost and so delicious. Especially the cowboy roll I could eat it everyday and never get tired of it. I will be back and with everyone I know.

The quality of the sushi is quite poor.
Got takeout from this place a couple of times already but it seems like the chef changed. Quality of the sushi is not as good as before.
Check out the Salmon Oshi that I picked up today. More like “Salmon O-Char” to me. In addition, the spicy chicken yakisoba was way too salty with uncooked vegetables (give my best regards to your lazy chef)

Got take out and the food quality is same if not worse than food court sushi. Chicken yakisoba was too salty and the special popcorn roll tasted stale and not worth 16 for that quality. Won’t be coming back

Their lunch sets are such good value for the taste, options and variety of food they offer. I’ve been here many times over last two years and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend all of their dishes ❤️
