The quality of the food was excellent
Excellent meal for Mother's Day. The croque de jacques was standout, and portion size generous without compromising quality. It's great to have a place like this nearby without needing to make a trip downtown.
We Had a Mother's Day celebration. I had the mushroom soup, My party had mostly scallops appetizers. The soup was quite delicious, very rich. The rest of my party had scallops, very delicious, well seasoned and very well cooked.
Unfortunately, it took a little bad turn for my dining experience.
I ordered chicken while the rest of the party ordered steak. The waiting time for the food was simply too long. We counted around 1 hour and a half after appetizers before our mains arrived.
The steaks were done beautifully, my chicken however was not... It was raw... Very unfortunate.
The server was very apologetic and let us know that there were only two people working. One in the kitchen, one to serve. I was very surprised. It did explain why the long wait and unfortunately it also explained the raw chicken.
Would I recommend it? Unfortunately, unless they increase their staffing situation. I think I would go to the next restaurant instead.
Very disappointed and hoping they would get their things together in the future.
I don't write reviews often but I needed to after my first visit here! The food and service was excellent for this unassuming place. You'd think from the name it's like a sports bar or something but it's the complete opposite lol.
It's reservation and pre-order only by email/phone and cash/debit/e-transfer only. The menu is all available on their site. Takeout containers aren't available there so you'd have to bring your own.
This place is great for special occasions as they have more fancier French + Italian dishes and appetizers, but also a lot of casual options too (I can't speak to the authenticity cause my knowledge of that is not great but it was yummy so who cares). The risotto funghi was amazing (not mushy!) and a great portion size. I only tried a bite of the beef wellington but it was delicious as well, and cooked wonderfully. And service was so caring and attentive but not in-your-face. The timing of the dishes was perfect and they were so nice. Atmosphere is dated but I couldn't care less about that, I'd eat the food if the restaurant was in a dumpster.
Definitely would come again to try more items on the menu! And highly recommend if you're looking for a more elevated meal, which I feel is hard to find in the tri-cities.
Amazing dinner and experience. Make sure to make a reservation and pre order your food! We celebrated My wifes birthday here and had a great dinner. Service and food was top notch!
I’m sure even furnitures taste good here. One of the best dinner experiences I’ve had for a long time. Everything was tasty and I can tell was made as a special treat. Kudos guys will be back to eat all the menu 😍
A gem of a place that operates on a pre-order basis.
The homemade focaccia, fresh lobster pasta, perfectly cooked medium-rare beef Wellington, and nougat glacé were all absolutely satisfying.
I would love to visit again.
Thank you for celebrating my birthday!
I was truly touched by your kindness.
Good food and exceptional service. This is the type of place you leave knowing the chef and server’s names, Henry and Jasmine. I really appreciate all the care and effort put into our dining experience here. Thank you!
We had a party of 6 at Henry's tonight. The food and service were, as usual, impecibler.
I was surprised to see a bad review for the restaurant from last night. We have been there many time and found the food and service to be exceptional. Henry is a classicaly trained chef out of Cordon Bleu and his training and skill are obvious, Jasmin runs the front and is always gracious and accomodationg. When I see a marginal review about a really good restaurant, it lesds me wonder if the people leaving the 2-star review actually understand French food.
Henry's is an absolute jewell.
Atmosphere is not nice. Lamb was good, other dishes were average. Not authentic French or Italian.

In a world of Cactus Clubs and Earls' restaurants like this are sorely missed. It is not the best food to be found in Metro Vancouver, but it is very good and a good value for money. Service is outstanding.
The concept is very interesting, instead of spending 10 mins pouring over a menu; pre-ordering like this makes dinner all about dinner. Also nice to be eating freshly prepared food rather than something made yesterday and warmed up in a microwave or stovetop.
I really like the atmosphere, self-decorated rather than the usual restaurant ikea furniture. Pictures and drawings from the past instead of a TV showing yesterday's sports highlights. Place is about the food and about the dinner.
You have to make reservations and order meal on line. It is a great place to eat.

Exceptional service and food. From reservation to dining in, Jasmine was extraordinarily efficient with communication and excellent with her service even decorating our table with a happy birthday sign and confetti! She was extremely attentive and made my party which included a toddler feel welcomed and comfortable. All servers should learn from her. She was so kind and caring to my toddler even when he was running around. The food by Henry was all beautifully presented and delicious with different elements of texture and flavour and perfection in terms of doneness of our meats. We look forward to more celebrations at this gem of a restaurant!
