I had my daughter's 4th birthday party at Little Bean in August 2025. It was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon of a long weekend so it was nice to practically have the play area to ourselves. The parents really enjoyed the coffees and the kids loved the hour of play and then hour in the party room. The food included in the party package was adequate for our group (two medium pizzas, fruit tray and veggie tray for 23 people) but we added an extra pizza just to be safe. The price was steeper than I'm used to paying for a birthday party but it was nice to have to prepare very little - just show up and enjoy ourselves! Their private room had everything we needed (plates, water, cups, cutlery, etc). The staff were very attentive. Julia was very helpful and kind. They were also accommodating about us bringing a gluten free pizza in for our birthday girl. All the interactions I've had with the staff through phone calls and past visits have always been phenomenal. I would definitely recommend having a party here for kids five and under as long as your budget isn't too tight.

Little Beans Play Cafe in Port Moody, BC, is a fantastic spot for parents with young children. It's designed to be a comfortable space where grown-ups can relax with a quality cup of coffee and a bite to eat while the kids, aged 0-6, can play in a clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed indoor playground.
The cafe's menu is a highlight, featuring healthy, fresh items developed by an executive chef for both adults and kids. They also proudly serve coffee from Rhino Coffee House, which is a nice touch. The play area itself is full of natural wooden climbing structures and other toys that encourage creative and imaginative play. For added convenience, they even offer a flexible drop-in daycare service, which is a great option for parents who need a little extra time. It's a popular place for playdates and birthday parties, making it a real community hub.

A fun spot for the kids!
Took my nanny babies in there and the banister is sticky (gross) and their toys are not sanitized near enough! The boys ended up sick now twice!
This place is a disease factory for very little kids. We went there twice and twice our 1-year-olds got sick. I haven't seen the toys be cleaned, so a sick kid putting them in their mouth will get the next kids sick.
It looks like a very neat play area for bigger kids, like 4+ years, and it does have some things for 1-year-olds, but they definitely need to start sanitising things way harder.
We won't be coming back here anytime soon...

Reviewing for the play part.
I doubt they clean anything here. Kids have come back sick multiple times. And while they are little and prone to putting things in their mouth, it's only here where they pick up a cold. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Other places might have a drool bucket, or minimize the amount of chewable toys, but not here. And maybe they clean things in the morning or night when we wouldn't see them, but I doubt this is happening with the smaller toys.
Maybe good for older kids, but for any kid who likes licking plastic ice cream, avoid it. I am so sick of dealing with sick.

We ordered a kid’s meal that was supposed to come with fresh fruit, as stated on the menu. Instead, it came with canned blueberries and canned pears, and the so-called “fresh” apple slices and avocado were already turning brown — clearly not fresh at all. During peak blueberry season, the fact that they use canned fruit instead of fresh is just unacceptable. This was misleading and especially disappointing since it was for a child. For the price, the quality and care were seriously lacking. We won’t be returning.

My 2-year old goes to another daycare and only visits here occasionally. Whenever he stays here, it seems to make his day and he's happy for the rest of the day. He independently learned to climb ladders at the playground here, all by himself. At the drop-in daycare upstairs, the teachers are kind and attentive and my child feels like he's on vacation.

The cafe and play idea its amazing but poorly executed. 3 waiters only(my heroes, you guys deserve an amazing salary for all you guys do) for a bunch of people in the cafe, they are always backed up on kitchen and in the waiting list(honestly, poor trio, they need more people!!!).
2 bathrooms and one of them no changing station. In a kids cafe!!!!!
Food wise i am disappointed to report that their fruit is frozen(and served to kids), which is not great at all. The place is full of potential but need more staff and structure.
Best play cafe out there. No exceptions.

Overall, had a great couple of times coming here with my daughter. I think it’s a great space for babies and toddlers, I can see it being maybe too small for children as the place isn’t as wide or spacious for both babies, toddlers, and children to all be in. However, it’s still really fun and has been a good experience for us overall!
The staff are lovely and super helpful especially when we’ve had a spill. Very appreciative for the help and the fun times we’ve had so far!

Absolutely love Little Beans Play Cafe. It is the perfect spot for families with young kids… safe, clean and thoughtfully designed for play. The play area is fun and engaging and my kids are always entertained while I get a chance to relax. The food is fresh and healthy which is such a rare find at play cafes and the coffee is excellent. It is our go-to place for a cozy outing where everyone leaves happy. Highly recommend

Nice little play cafe for toddlers and kids. Would prefer some more educational toys though.
Little Beans Play cafe is a great place for kids! Booths and tables available to sit while watching your children play. Lots of food and drinks options, reasonably priced.
The staff is friendly and everything is super clean. Would recommend visiting if you live in the area!
Great place to bring the kids while you enjoy a hot drink and dessert.
