So sad that it's closing down. The staff are incredible. Find them new positions.

Very nice clean restaurant with a good look and atmosphere. The breakfast was good but slightly plain. Service was really good and coffees were refilled to a nice degree. I got the eggs Benedict and it was reasonably good but nothing super special.

First time at this place. A friend had bought tickets to see the drag show being held here after 7 pm.Couldn't find the place in the dark, and when I drove into the parking lot,I didn't know where the entrance to the restaurant was. The parking surrounds the building in a 'U' shape, making it difficult to decipher where the actual restaurant entrance is vs. the adjoining liquour store, which I understand is closed but still has a lit sign. Thank god for that lit sign. Otherwise, I would not have known that this was the correct establishment I was supposed to be at. It's an older building and in the dark, does not make an impact at all, that there is a trendy pub inside.Don't judge a book by its cover cause when I entered, it was this brightly lit, trendy pub eatery that I would have expected to be located in somewhere like Yaletown! We were seated promptly by very gracious staff. The tables were too close to other diners but probably pushed together for the show to create a square catwalk for the performers. The menu was extensive, well put together for a variety of tastes. There would be something for anyone to choose. We ordered the game appetizer platter for the 2 of us. The menu says it would feed 3 to 4. That's quite an understatement. It fed 2 adequately, maybe enough for 2.5 (lol), if there is a kid there, or you are ordering more food after. It was a good variety of mostly fried appetizers, with 4 dips. I would suggest a 5th dip or replacing one of the other creamy dips with either plum sauce or sweet and sour, or sweet Thai chili. Also, I would suggest that they add a smattering of greens to the dish, carrot sticks, celery sticks, or similar to give a palate cleanser to the diner. Use a larger platter also so it's more spread out, avoiding the other diners touching all the food to get to the bottom of the stack.Otherwise, well put together. The Holiday themed drag show was excellent, with 2 drag queens and 1 drag king, who I would say was the best out of the 3. Nice to see equal opportunity in that regard.Service was good,I liked the open, bright interior that didn't feel stuffy. Especially liked the light coloredwood frames around the large TV's, making them look like large paintings on the wall. When switched off for the show, the TV's blended into the wall, not looking like big black electronic screens staring at you, like other establishments do!I would return, and yes, bring back the drag show again!Nice place that needs some exterior touch outside to match the trendy interior.

SMOKING ALLOWED. The people at the next table were smoking in plain view of staff, when I complained they brought me a water because it was MY problem ?

Dakota our server was very good but had to much on her plate. establishment was terribly understaffed having one bartender and about 1/4 of the servers they needed for a new years event. Very sad showing for a JRG establishment.
I was totally surprised of how nice it was inside! Great service!

Recently ordered delivery from here - the food was some of the worst I've ever had. The burger patty was overcooked on the outside (hard & chewy) but still pink on the inside, i assume it was freezer burnt? The bun was also hard and not even toasted. The sauce was super bitter tasting.Came here once when it first opened and the food was amazing - I've been a few times in the past year and the food has just been terrible every time. Not sure what happened but i won't bother with this place anymore. Couple of our friends who come here for Trivia also said that the food is not good here at all - they are really happy that the Trivia is moving to a different place next year. Quite a shame, but goes to show how important it is to run a solid kitchen, a restaurant is nothing without good tasting food.

We hosted our daughter’s surprise 19th Birthday at Livelyhood. Dakota was remarkable. She was attentive to every detail with our guests, to our requests. She has a great personality. You could tell she enjoys her job and takes pride in it. All our guests came up to us and commented how she handled our party. She was great!Thank you Dakota for everything !The kitchen staff made remarkable food. The pizza and wings were a hit. The sangria was delicious. The game platters were also delicious but I felt they were on the small size for our group and the price. But that was a miscommunication in our part. But I don’t want to take away that they were also delicious. Dakota was able to make up for it by providing an additional plate at no charge.

Waited 20 min without being greeted or even acknowledged. Asked for menu and got a card with 4 items tossed at my mother before walking away to text behind the bar. We got up a left.

A fun place. It wasn't busy when we got there but it was bustling when we left. A varied crowd which was nice. Server was able to magically be in several places at once. She was quite amazing.
Love the room. Great space. Looks way to nice to be sooo dead all the time. I used to go when it was the Golden Spike. Place was packed all the time.I've gone 5 times in the last 2 months ... ghost kitchen does very good. It's the only reason this place can stay a float!I've ordered the wings 4 times hoping they got better... they are the juiciest wing.....but the downfall is they have been over salty even when asking for no salt after the 1st time. Asked for just pepper and no salt and they came out with lemon pepper and just awful. Ordered them again hoping would be less salty.. but every time over 2 months salty as heck.I'm guessing they brine them first ..and the brine recipe is too salty! Or the dusting has too much salt..Please fix the wings.. they are juicy and have the potential to be awesome!

The breakfast was great but we were missing cutlery, they only fill your coffee cup half way, the specialty coffee was horrible, had to send it back, and the service was slow... but the food was great& its a cool place inside. The arcade machines are beyond annoying as kids were slamming them so hard it sounded like a war zone beside our table! If those games were gone & the service improved we'd breakfast regulars.
Good service and nice setting. Cold beer. What more can u ask for?
