Lougheed Wonton Restaurant

I can guarantee whoever gives this restaurant less than 5 stars either because they are not used to the typical “rude” but caring service by the aunties OR they just dont know what to order thats actually good.

First time here and I was impressed with the food taste. Ordered 4 item combo: shanghai style crispy chicken, fish & tofu hot/clay pot, greenbeans with beef and house special chowmein. Combo includes free rice, (lobak, carrots & beef) soup and dessert (mango pudding or red bean soup). It was too much for 4 of us and we had to pack some home.

Will definitely come back.

we had the 2 dishes dinner combo and it was so disappointing… the soup was the best thing about the meal. the crispy chicken was so bland. the server persuaded me to pay to upgrade the steamed fish to black cod but it was so disappointing. there’s no taste to it aside from few black beans on top. the sauce was watery and the texture of the fish was so mushy. you thought one thing you can count on for Chinese food is the saltiness of soy sauce, they didn’t even have that ? the servers were generally nice but the cleanliness of one of the chefs and bathroom was bad.

Great food and friendly servers - enjoyed the crispy chow mein, chicken chop suey, and salted fish rice. Would definitely return.

The staff and service here are amazing. The food is delicious but may not be everyone’s favourite type of Chinese as they have more traditional dishes. But great to check out and a Port Moody staple.

I have always enjoyed the food at LWH as we used to have them cater our events. We dont have events anymore otherwise we'd still do that. My only criticism of the food is the beef and broccoli is a bit watery, but the lemon chicken haunts my dreams with how sticky and delectable it is. If yall added rangoon to the menu I'd order it daily and give you six stars.

But i actually want to shout out their service. This evening my "mom" ordered some food for takeout. Shes staying about a block away but she's getting on in years so her mobility isn't the greatest. When she went to pick up the food, the host insisted on carrying her food for her back to the apartment so the bags didn't break. You guys have no idea what her and her daughter are going through, theyre going through some huge and tough events, but you did such a huge kindness for her and that speaks to the hearts of the employees. That you had no idea, and you did it anyway.

I will absolutely vouch for the staff, that they have big hearts and great service. Thank you for taking care of Mary, it means a lot to me and stuff like that deserves a rating. I wish your business nothing but the best and for continued prosperity

Came in tonight for dinner with my family and we were all really impressed. The food was delicious and the portions are really big. My kid is a picky eater and had nothing but good things to say too. We will definitely come back next time we head to Port Moody.

Had dinner with a friend 1.5 hour before they close. We were the o ly customers then. The server kept walking pass by us, pressuring us to finish. To an extent, she started to take away our empty dishes as soon as we finished one, provided asking politely. To this point we had to finish quick and left.

I got it that there were no more customers and maybe they could get off early. But really 1 hour before posted closing time?

Definitely a diamond in the rough. Located in Port Moody this Chinese stable is always nice when you want good Chinese food. We had the crab with black bean sauce, beef chow fun, salt and spicy prawn and mapa tofu. The beef chow fun needs a bit of work but the rest of the food was phenomenal. The crab with black bean sauce was amazing.
