I wanted to have a typical Italian dish, not fancy or anything just fresh and authentic food. I ordered the penne pesto and the chicken breast. The chicken was good but the pasta reminded me of fast food Italian chains. I am pretty sure they didn’t serve me homemade pasta nor fresh pesto. I left the restaurant so disappointed. What a shame since I was planning to eat at this restaurant for quite some time. At least, the server was very friendly and polite.

My family and I recently enjoyed a delightful “family date” at Osteria Povera, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the restaurant’s intimate setting and the warm, inviting ambiance—it felt like being welcomed into a friend’s home.
Every aspect of the meal was exquisite. We started with flavorful, beautifully plated starters that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The mains were equally impressive, each bite rich in flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful selection of wine, perfectly paired to complement our meal. Even the freshly squeezed orange juice for our daughters was a thoughtful touch that they absolutely loved.
To finish, dessert was a treat in itself, rounding off an incredible dining experience. Osteria Povera made our family night memorable, and we can’t wait to return.

Craved Italian food after just having come back from Italy and came here not expecting to give 5 stars, but the crew here gave us such a great night and dinner just hit the right spot. We had the bruschettini and the complimentary focaccia bread to start. For our mains, we had the ragu tagliatelle and salmon linguine, and finished off with the tiramisu. All excellent with a bottle of wine. Service was perfect. I loved that I didn't have to go all the way downtown. This place is a gem.

I want to express my disappointment with our recent visit on Oct 19th. My party and I had a reservation at 5:15PM, and while we understand that restaurants can be busy, we were extremely frustrated with how we were treated.
Despite having a reservation, after just an hour of being seated, we were handed the bill without asking for it. Shortly thereafter the server came with the Interac machine requesting payment and to make matters worse, and after paying, he informed us that another party was waiting for our table, making us feel rushed and unwelcome. This left a very bad impression, as we were looking forward to enjoying a relaxed dining experience.
I understand the importance of keeping things running smoothly, but we felt unfairly pressured to leave before we were done. A reservation should guarantee a proper dining experience, not make us feel like we are being pushed out the door.

Lunch with a friend and a first-time visit for both of us. The young lady who served us was friendly and helpful. The menu items sounded good, and we both chose different items. I had the bean soup with added pancetta, and my companion had the prosciutto focaccia sandwich with salad. Our ordered wine was served, followed shortly by our food. It quickly became apparent that my friends sandwich was not going to be easy to eat. With every attempted bite, the fillings were falling out. The focaccia was too crisp (dry) and the green side salad had brown pieces of lettuce, not so appetizing. Our server returned the order to the kitchen without question and placed an order for the pasta dish my friend requested. The pesto pasta was excellent and my soup was tasty and hearty. The Moraine wineries off dry 2022 Riesling was perfect for both dishes.

Found hair in my pasta, disgusting, and got tiramisu that is very dry. A very disappointing birthday dinner. (Ordered through Uber eats)

This little gem in the heart of Port Moody was a most pleasant surprise. The restaurant was charming, quiet, and cozy. The front end staff was excellent, and the food was AMAZING. Absolutely a five star experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who want a nice environment for visiting and some excellent food.

Excellent food. The vegetarian lasagne was the best I have ever had. The steak was also excellent.
