I really wanted to like this place, as it occupies the old Rosa's, which IMO was one of the best Italian restaurants in the Lower Mainland. We drove 30 mins from Vancouver to try it. We made a 645 reservation but when arrived were told our table wasn't ready. We were asked to stand outside ... in the rain. While we were out there, for some odd reason, another staff member locked the front door! I have no idea why, but this was extremely off-putting. The first staff member to help us eventually came to show us to the table, and had to struggle with the lock on the door to let us in. He apologized, and said it was "extremely unprofessional" for his colleague to lock the door and that he would speak to her about it. Food was really not good. Appies were OK but mains were not. Pastas were ice-cold, and the gnocchi dish was inedible. We gave our feedback to the server when asked, especially about the gnocchi, which was left untouched. Then the bill came, and nothing had been comp'd, or halved, which most restaurants would do when food is not eaten due to an issue with how it's cooked/flavour. I'm really sorry, but really had a bad experience and not impressed.

Can’t recommend enough. It’s small inside but it made for great, personalized service. Food was unreal, biggest regret is not being able to try the tiramisu (I was too full).

Have yet to eat, and I’m writing this waiting for my date to arrive. I’m basing this purely on the ridiculousness of it, and really to state a point that exceptions can and should be made to absurd rules.I’ve come in to a completely empty restaurant for a date. I was told to sit anywhere I’d like. I pointed to a corner table by the window, of which happened to be a 4 top. I was told oh… anywhere but tables of 4. In A Completely Empty Restaurant. Tuesday night, 5pm in the middle of rush hour…. Empty…. And an important note all tables of 4 are two tables put together, could have split that table up???… Now I look like a fool shuffling over to a two top as if I’m a child veritably being scolded. Maybe the food’s good but hey this a bad review based on a customer’s perception. My perception is that I’m less important in an empty restaurant, unless I have maybe 1 more person…. I guess should have felt so lucky to have been welcomed there in the first place???People vote with their money, and maybe I’ll just vote for another restaurant that’ll be more accommodating in such a ridiculous scenario.Edit: Food tasted good except a number of lengths of my pasta were stuck together. My date and I were there for over an hour, and unsurprisingly nobody came in the entire time up till when we were just leaving and even then it was only for a party of two. So the review stays. You earned it!! Might have changed if there was a deluge of guests, but it was just me, my date, and the waitress who was watching shows on an i-pad….Ps: Drinking wine out of glass tumblers isn’t hip or whatever you were trying to achieve, it cheapens it. Invest in stemware.

From the complimentary bread and cheese to the main meal, it's the best Italian food I've ever had. Keep doing what you do. I love you.

We really enjoyed our late lunch here. I got the spaghetti and meatballs while my partner got a mushroom panini sandwich. Both were quite enjoyable. For drinks we got cappuccino and a latte both of which were very nice. We usually don't get desserts but we have to try the Pasticciotto and sorbet. I only tried the sorbet since my partner forgot to share hers. The sorbet was quite refreshing! Perfect after a heavy pasta. The interior decor is nice! Definitely will come back!

Some of the best pasta I’ve had. That with the cocktails which were amazing combined with the atmosphere all made for an incredible experience.

I was invited to a dinner with a girlfriend here and had never heard of it or been before. I ordered a pasta and added the half chicken breast to the dinner. I ate most the chicken until I noticed that the thicker end was underdone. I left my plate off to the side and waited a while for someone to come by and check in on our meal. When I brought it to the waiters attention he left and then came back with the bill and a new cooked chicken breast. I thought it was a very strange thing to have been given after the meal was over. Not to mention I was not wanting anymore chicken. The service overall was slow and we felt under acknowledged but I'd like to say the food was really good minus the undercooked chicken.

We ordered takeout here for my brothers birthday meal tonight, and the food was so terrible we ended up having a laugh over it. Easily the worst Italian food I’ve had in Vancouver/greater area, definitely had better meals at east side Mario’s lol, for comparison. We picked up ourselves on time and got the ragu, pesto pasta, lasagna, orecchiette, meatballs and two salads. The highlights for sure were the meatballs and orecchiette pasta, which were both tasty and the pasta dish was the only warm thing we got. However, the lasagna was so salty it was inedible and the ragu sauce was extremely dry and tasted burnt. The salads were literally just two bowls of chopped up tomatos ? literally just chopped roma tomatoes. We fought over the 2 pieces of cucumber and 3 pieces of bread. When a meal is this poorly executed its becomes funny and we all had a laugh over it in the end, dumped it in the trash and got some A&W. We were expecting amazing food based on other reviews, so not sure what was happening in the kitchen tonight, but for what this dinner cost we’ll never be back.

Really happy we decided to come in tonight - we were able to make a reservation which I do recommend as she’s just a wee place. We had the bruschetta, a complimentary appetizer of bread, cheese, meat and antipasto, and then the Tagliatelle and Ragu- delicious, and the linguine salmon dish, also really nicely done, seasoning was perfect. Finished with the tiramisu. Service was friendly and attentive just the right amount, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy your meal. Nice ambiance and decor, a really nice addition to the PoMo restaurant scene. We’ll be back!
