Bad customer service. The lady names Ava is rude. We were thinking to host a Christmas party here but not anymore. Tell her to be respectful

This is my family's favourite Japanese restaurant. The food is consistently high quality, fresh, good portions, and well-priced (as long as you eat in or use their pickup order system). There aren't a lot of places that the adults AND the kids in my household like, but Sakeya is always a hit.
Vegetarian options: Their veggie roll has cucumber, avocado, and pickled radish, and is DELICIOUS. we also love the Inari Nigiri (sweetened tofu skin pockets filled with rice). My kids won't eat tofu in any other form, but they love this.

Decent quality, non-expensive food. There is also a stamp-based loyalty system for frequent customers.

Not bad food, however, not a place you would go back. Bento bix chicken teriyaki,. Sauce was pre made container sauce, spring roll was all roll no spring tempura was 3 x as thick as should be . Temp prawn was sliced to create 2 pcs. If your hungry go but don't expect much. Clean and polite.

This is my go-to sushi place! I used to come here because it was close to my apartment but the more I ate at other sushi restaurants the more I genuinely wanted to return and eat here instead. They are very affordable, but have nice rolls, great special rolls and delicious sashimi. Best price for a split tuna and salmon sashimi ever, and it tastes great, super fresh. The only thing I've enjoyed more at other restaurants are the California rolls and agedashi tofu. Both are still good here but I've had a bit better.
I almost always get my food to go because it's a small restaurant and I live nearby but you can eat inside. They have an enclosed patio for extra space. Everyone working there are genuinely so nice and my food is ready in no time, usually 15 mins or less. The combos come with miso soup, which is always a nice surprise. I have been eating here at least once a month for years and I have zero complaints. I would like to try their all you can eat sushi one day!
Vegetarian options: I only ate vegetarian options while pregnant and I found it satisfying. Enjoyed the mango avocado roll, but in my opinion it's improved with a side of sriracha to dip in!

My go-to sushi place in BC is wonderful! I used to go there about once to twice a week, take my food, and head to Rocky Point. They can deep-fry anything! I absolutely love this place and the staff. It's been a year since I've visited, and oh, I miss it so much. I will be back in BC soon, and I can't wait to return! I encourage everyone to give these lovely people a try.

Honestly disappointed at the food. The teriyaki chicken was terrible! It tasted old or undercooked, the sauce was bland, and the meat still had bone in it. The edamame was also very obviously undercooked because it was a bit hard to chew.
I can’t say I want to go back to give the place another shot. I can still imagine the taste.

Tried them for the first time and ordered two different rolls - deep fried prawn and spicy crab. They were excellent. The service was very good and courteous. Definitely would recommend and I will be going back.

Really good food but every single time I've gone here recently you get 1 pack of soya souce with 4 rolls... I don't get it.
I’ve been coming here on and off and I must say I love their sushi rolls. I decided to sit in the restaurant today and the waitress went above and beyond. Such a great place to support.

Super friendly customer service, ordered the Red Dragon Roll and Tuna Tataki, both were great! Ordered to go and received complimentary tea as I was waiting.

Tried this place today and found their all you can eat menu. 34 a person which is reasonable these days. Everything was fresh and delicious. The rice wasn't overbearing like you find with some ayce sushi. The service was great, very fast and was on top of this whenever we needed something. Overall I am very happy with this find and will be returning.

My personal quick and easy Sushi or Japanese style dinner restaurant. Always great sushi, nigiri, donburi, yakiudon, tempura or appetizer options. I have been a return customer for years. I see they have even started an all you can eat option. Quick service, clean restaurant and friendly staff.

Very casual looking inside and out but the sushi is fantastic. We had all you can eat and definitely felt like we got our money's worth! They have a 10 piece limit on nigiri but they are sized generously so I have no complaints there. The rolls can also be very large and filling. Very impressed and we will be making a return!
Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options but vegan may be more limited
