It was a rainy and cold day, and I was shivering while eating at an outdoor table, but it was still delicious. Since there wasn't much seasoning, I could taste the lobster's flavor even more.
The lobster roll and jumbo cocktail shot are so fresh and yummy. And the chowder is strongly recommended ??
The lobster roll was very fresh and the grill cheese was delicious as well. Would 100% recommend this.
I came across The Lobster Guy because I was searching for Lobster Mac and Cheese, but unfortunately, they discontinued it. So my wife and I had the Lobster Chowder for $8.50 and the Lobster Coconut Curry for $13.50.
The portions are served in small 12oz cups. They definitely couldn't be any smaller without the customers left feeling ripped off :-(
My Lobster Coconut Curry was delicious. But due to the size, it's more of an expensive snack than an actual meal. And I generally don't go out for snacks. So I can't imagine being a repeat customer for this item :-(
The Lobster Chowder for the wife, was very watery and soup like. So if you are dreaming of a thicker chowder then like her you will be disappointed. Never the less, she said it was okay.
All in all, I so wanted this to be our new goto place, but as-is it's not really a "meal" :-(
Hopefully this review might help to influence / tweak things in the right direction :-)
A great little spot tucked away in Port Moody. This place has lobster rolls for lobster lovers! Huge roll where the bread is a star on its own, perfect bite and perfectly grilled. The lobster is robust and dressed very simply so that it stands on its own! I also got the chowder to try and it had huge chunks of lobster along with veggies, shrimp and more!
Great spot for lunch or to grab something on the way to the breweries for sure!
Flavour was ok, but I think there was a very small portion of lobster on the lobster rolls for the $46 for 2 rolls
The best lobster ? roll I've ever had!! It beats San Francisco's rolls 1000 times over. Such a hidden gem ? of a place.
The lobster roll is always delicious and fresh đŠ. Definitely the best place in Tri-Cities to meet your lobster needs.
One of my favourite Port Moody âhidden gemsâ to pick up a meal to eat in the park! I havenât had a bad dish here yet - even bought a live crab home to boil ourselves last time and they offered to let me choose which crab I wanted:)
I was craving lobster at 10 am and saw this place open. My husband and I went to try it to fulfill my pregnancy cravings and oh my goodness, this was just amazing. The flavour, texture and freshness of the roll was insane. I highly recommend this place, just the vibe outside on a sunny day is so nice. It is also so reasonably priced for the quantity you get.

Amazing hidden gem of a place - lobster rolls are probably the best I've had and overflowing with lobster unlike most places. The lobster dip is also great. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Will be back often!
A bit of a hidden gem as it's tucked away in an industrial lot on Murray Street, a few blocks east of the breweries. The seafood is fresh, and they've expanded a lot on their takeout items as well as hours of operation for the summer. The staff are incredibly friendly. Outdoor seating area is dog friendly. Would highly recommend!
Worth every bite
If licking my fingers after eating is wrong, I donât want to be right. The hot buttered lobster rolls are our weekend treat lunch and theyâre so good we keep coming back. My husband is also a fan of the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. They are loaded with amazing, flavourful lobster and worth every cent.Take it to the park, enjoy at their seating area, or drive home and enjoy. You wonât be disappointed.
A singing lobster??I have been meaning to try out this place for a while now but conflicting schedule cause they only open from Friday to Sunday and a bit of distance for me. (Actually came by here one time before but they closed early). This place is located in a building at an industrial area alongside with many other little restaurants and food trucks. There are also a few family parks and the Port Moody museum steps away, great little place for a family day unless you are a single bird like me lol. Finally got a little bit of free time during the weekend and managed to eased my way to this place. There were about a dozen of customers enjoying the food outside on tables and chairs provided. Here were the food I ordered;1. Seafood chowder. Homemade style, very tasty with a generous amount of seafood.2. Hot buttered lobster roll. The bun was soft yet with a warm light crisp, buttery taste and texture (very nice!). The lobster chunks were nice too but maybe a little less on the dressing so not so watery, other than that, quite satisfying.3. Lobster with Thai coconut curry sauce on rice. Pretty flavourful, the sauce was distinct and fair amount of lobster meat.Overall, this is a very causal little place. Almost like a little concession place for take outs with a few tables and chairs. Besides the hot food, they do sell a variety of frozen seafood to go too.The best way to describe the staffs and service would be as if they were you next door neighbours, yes that kind of vibe (no not that ahole neighbours some may have, but the homey ones lol).As for the food, everything was quite tasty and satisfying, at least to me itâs worth the drive out this way to give it a try. Sing me another lobster song next timeâŠ
