Our company hired their food truck today for our month end lunch, can't help to give my feedback. Burrito is the only available with option of cod, beef or veg. I got beef (barbacoa) was so disappointed as there is no flavor at all. The burrito is loaded with rice, I had to pour my salsa so I can get a little flavor on my food. Our company paid $32 per head for 1 burrito, small salsa& chips and churros. I find it too expensive with the quality of food they serve.
Went to the food truck in Tofino. Normally a huge fan of the Krispy Chicken burrito (never disappoints) but decided to try the breakfast burrito (went in the am). The burrito left much to be desired - the burrito was wet from the cabbage and tomato, lacked flavour, and was just missing something. Suggest adding a crispy potato element or a meat to go with the egg. Would go back but would not order the breakfast burrito.

Was good when they first came to Vancouver ~10 years ago. But there are better options now - tastier & better customer experience.
Vegetarian options: Tofu burrito vegan chicken burrito and super veg beans chees burritos are best

Can’t comment on the food but the staff were complete scumbags! Waited an hour for them to run out of food 6 people in front of us. They saw how long the line was, yet wasted everyone’s time anyway, on purpose! They are Horrible horrible people! They deserve zeros!

I encountered the Tacofino food truck sitting in the middle of a narrow residential street, completely blocking traffic from both directions as there was no space for cars to go around it on either side.I pulled over to the side - into somebody else’s driveway! - to allow the truck to go past, and the driver was EXTREMELY rude. He made no attempt to move, waved me off, and shrugged his shoulders at me multiple times like "what is your problem". When I rolled down my window and asked him to move because he was blocking the flow of traffic, he finally moved and as he went past he rolled his eyes and shrugged at me again.I complained directly to Tacofino about this but their email bounced and they have given me no further response on why they employ such rude, irresponsible people to drive their trucks around, so I can only assume they don't consider the behaviour inappropriate.Note: I tried to contact Tacofino directly about this incident by both phone and email, and posted reviews on Facebook and here, but as of 4wks after the incident, I've had zero reply from them or even an apology for the terrible behaviour. However, their CEO did stalk my LinkedIn profile in the first week after I reported it - so they're definitely aware. They just don't care.

I get that places get a good reputation which attracts people to visit, and I'm super-happy that the owner has now done so well that they've managed to open "proper" restaurants across BC, but seriously, don't waste your time standing in line for this place, as all you're doing is queuing for the reputation. It's also really difficult to find, with no signs to be found of its location - maybe this is actually a good thing as if more people knew where it was, we would have been queueing for even longer! From everything I had heard and been told about the Tacofino food truck, I was expecting a taste-sensation, like nothing I had ever had in my life, however after standing in line for nearly an hour to order, and then waiting another 15 minutes for the food to actually arrive, it certainly took the edge off the experience! When the fish tacos arrived, they were overly salty and didn't actually taste of much, so thank goodness for the veggies / salsa etc. that at least provided a nice fresh taste. To be fair, the guacamole was tasty and fresh, and so were the frozen drinks (watermelon and basil / lime and mint), but that's nearly 90 minutes of my life I can't ever get back and it definitely wasn't worth that investment in time. Shame, a real disappointment...
Ingredients aren't evenly distributed throughout the burrito, making it feel like it was made by a new hire (1/3-1/2 was rice, then I started getting some fish and beans, then only the final 1/5th had some salsa). Most of the ingredients are bland, overall flavor is lacking in complexity and feels very basic. Not worth it.
The food truck is great and accommodating for non dairy.

The Burritos at truck are pathetic the taste is not good at all not properly made no beans even chicken was oily like hell dressing was not noticeable i have to ask for it on side waste on money
Overrated. Burrito was burnt and flat. Not a fan of hyped restaurants. For waiting that long in line, I expect a taste explosion and it was miles away from that.
Got a burrito and a burrito bowl both were very small portions once eaten and not hot at all customer service was great but food was over priced for the quality
Had a delicious fish taco at reasonable price today. Would recommend. ?
Devoured the fish and chicken tacos, the batter was perfect and crunchy! Luckily for us we went before the line up came and we managed to get our tacos pretty quick. It's really nice to have the tacofino food truck in tri-cities esp as we don't need to head all the way to Vancouver for the tacos!
