This was the most tasty omelette I have ever had! So happy to have found a really yummy vegan omelette I can order for lunch or brunch. The flavour packed in this juicy omelette as shown was so yummy, but the second time there was barely any fruit, etc and the omelette was lacking. Not sure why it was so different. I went to Hard bean to have a breakfast with my friend. I politely asked for a table for two , to which they replied there is a wait time. I understood and asked for a takeout menu meanwhile. Two hostesses at the front started giggling for no reason. They tried their best to hide it but they continued for the 3-5 minutes we were there looking at the paper menu she has handed me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and came out. I need to know what exactly she found funny. Not a good way to start your Morning. Management needs to educate them.

HBB offers a decent selection of vegan meals with a lively & bright atmosphere. The menu contains a vegan section with a variety of brunch (Just egg, French toast) and and a few lunch options (Burger, Bowls).
The Tofu Bowl was delicious and a nice change of flavour from the usual. The portion was filling but definitely on the pricier side.

We went for Happy Hour food mostly..did not have drinks save for a beer. Food was good, jucy house burger with good bacon, maui chicken sandwich flavorful, moist, pesto pasta generous portion of ruch, rich pesto cream, shrimp accompanied with garlic bread. Yam waffle fries generous portion. The only miss is the chips and dip. Chips are hot and made, fried in house but the dips served in large bowls completely too small a portion: guacamole is bright s9me not so traditional red onion buts and pomegranate seeds..I think but it works ok..the other relishes/ salsa a miss: mango salsa and corn relish lack any acidity or spice.

Really appreciate the variety and quality of the dishes on the menu. There's something for everyone and it always tastes great! I got the chicken and waffles today and really liked the balance of flavors with the sweetness and spice. In the past I've also gotten the shrimp pesto pasta dish and really enjoyed that. The service has also been lovely each time!

I absolutely loved the Langley location and the food was amazing there, so naturally that gave me high hopes for The Hard Bean going forward from that time.
Popped by this location after a hike near port moody for a quick coffee (iced vanilla latte and hot london fog). I was surprisingly disappointed with the customer service.
I waited 10-15 mins for my order that i placed for 2 drinks and it was not busy in the restaurant at that time. the bartender ended up making our drink order completely wrong and gave us a hot latte and didn’t make the london fog correctly (it was made with hot water instead of steamed milk and they did not put any lavender syrup in the drink). the staff looked confused on how to make the drinks i ordered which was strange because we ordered from the drink menu.
after this period i noticed our drinks just sitting on the bar pass through while the staff were huddled talking together. we just came back from a hike and it rained that day so our clothes were pretty soaked and we just wanted to get the drinks and go.
i came to this location out of convenience for me and my experience ended up being the opposite of it :(

The food was phenomenal! Excellent service. All the staff work very well together, the waitress we had; Jasmine was very sweet and checked on her section of tables often to see if any of us needed refills and how we were enjoying the meal
We initially were being sat inside where it was decently loud both patrons and music, but after asking and them seeing the note in the reservation, there was a short wait, roughly 10 minutes to be able to be seated outside.
There was a small mix up with the Benny's but Jasmine and the manager Mike were both extremely prompt in getting the issue fixed.
Overall a fantastic dining experience and we will be back.
Adam is really nice guy we have a little talk i really love the way he speaks with us refers us some drinks.

Got stood up for a date yesterday. Told my server and they immediately wanted to ensure I was comfortable and offered to have me sit at the bar. They also said I should still stay for the food because it was good, they weren't wrong! The Yorkshire Benny with ham was amazing. Service was great too. Thank you again to my server (didn't get her name, but she was pretty and a redhead) for making a bad experience a great one! I will definitely be back!
