Coastal Kitchen Cafe offers a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families. The cafe features a "little nook of games" to keep kids entertained while parents enjoy a delicious meal. Their pizza remains highly praised, and breakfast options, like breakfast sandwiches with local bacon, are also good. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, even helping a stranded family with a gas emergency. This cozy place offers fresh baking and great specialty coffees, including surprisingly good pumpkin spice lattes. Customers loved the well-curated souvenirs, such as glassware, shirts, and cute trail items. The pesto chicken sandwich is considered the best by some, while the optimism potatoes were also enjoyed. Great sandwiches and snacks are available, along with a good selection of coffee and tea. NANAIMO BARS are a must-try. Although some found lattes served warm, others appreciated the iced vanilla lattes, going back for a second because they were so good. The cafe remains a welcome stop for hikers, with hammocks on the outside patio and a nice little garden around the side. The atmosphere is great, with delightful staff ensuring smooth service even during busy mornings.
