Today was the final time I was giving this place a chance, over the years ive tried them several times and am always disappointed…. Like today which was no different grabbed a 97 dynamite roll The tempura prawns in it are so old nothing but chewy and taste like they never change their deep fryer oil honestly such a bummer And a spicy California roll except the didn’t pup any spicy mayo/sauce on it I didn’t put a tip on when i order but always tip when I pick up and for what reason so I can have mediocre food and don’t feel awkward leaving an establishment? Screw that we tip on service and they lack on it
Regardless avoid this place try some of of our other amazing sushi places down the road

I grew up on Vancouver sushi, so my expectations are higher- and I usually really like going here, but the last few times have been nauseating to eat, the salmon nigiri starts off good, but the rice has an odd flavour that lingers on, and the tuna maki/nigiri is barely holding its shape it falls apart at the touch, mushed, and looks slimy. I love raw fish, but this has such a not good fishy kind of taste that it makes me nervous. The tuna also had a lot of strings everywhere- I’ve never seen sushi look that way, I’m sure it’s just the structure of the meat but I’d hope for the price the food wouldn’t look like this. Overall just disappointed especially for paying as much as I did, for a meal I couldn’t finish. Ultimately don’t let me stop you from loving it, but I don’t think I’ll be going back.
