“Take note of the size of their pancakes!! My husband and I ordered the Blackstone and wanted to share blueberry pancakes. So we ordered 2, and we weren't told they were the size of the plates! Their plates are huge too! LolIt was good but a waste of a whole pancake. All the food was good and the service was wonderful. Your coffee cup is never empty.”

“Took my visiting in-laws here due to the high ratings and recommendations. It was everyone’s first time. Lovely service. Amazing quality pizza. AMAZING! Better than comparable places in Vancouver. We ordered some salads as well and they were made with such fine and fresh ingredients. The experience was so great that my in-laws wanted to go again the next day!”

“Came for a relatively late dinner around 7pm with my coworker. Wasn't too hungry so ordered an appetizer. Place was pretty busy so food did take awhile to come out, but to wait 45 - 50 mins for an appatizer is pretty disappointing. Also, probably the most expensive Xiu Mai I've ever had, and it was alright but probably wouldnt order it again. On the other hand, my coworker had to wait for another 10 - 15 mins but she loved her food. Seems like any of the noodles are a good choice.Overall, if this is a normal day for them, I probably would just get take out next time and order in advance.”

And our Chef Nook was fantastic, he cooks so good and he does great job in flaring and juggling too along with cooking. Great job guys!!!”

“Great coffee shop! Don't hold it against me, but I am not a coffee lover. However, Ritual has really tasty beverages that I can enjoy - london fogs, matchas, etc.! The breakfasts are fresh and delicious, and the pastries are decadent and always fresh. I have heard the coffee beverages are some of the best in town, but as I said, I stick to the non-coffee options personally. Great place to sit down or grab a drink/snack to go. The staff are super friendly too! Highly recommend.”

“Wow, what a great coffee shop with an extensive offering of coffees, homemade coffee syrups, and delicious looking food options. We had the logger wrap and bacon and egg croisant which i can't recommend enough!! Fantastic! For the space, the downstairs is nice and open with HIGH ceilings, lots of interesting local products for sale. The upstairs was my highlight though, a cosy, more intimate seating area that's reservable for functions as well.Service was wonderful and efficient and you can see they enjoy working together as a team.A must visit if you're looking for coffee in prince and certainly worth the short drive out of the downtown.Kid-friendliness: We showed up with our 4 kids and the server was patient as they slowly decided what they wanted. As we had a long order, they read back to us to make sure we had everything. They were engaging with my kids, top level service!Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking spot right out front and level entry way into the store.”

“This is an easy 5 stars. Everything was great. I had the spicy burger, and it was very spicy but still flavorful. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate with nice lighting. The servers all seemed cool and funky, like someone you want to talk to at a house party. There were lots of tables filled with similarly interesting looking young people. This place is cool.Wait, is Prince George cool now? I used to come to PG for work all the time about 10 years ago. I never liked it. All I ever did was work though. My boss was a jerk. This was my first time back in a while and my first time staying downtown. This was 1 of 3 very good restaurants that I went to.”

“The dinner experience was exceptional. The main course we chose was lobster ravioli and it was a five star dish. The server was outstanding and the ambiance was lovely. It is one of Prince George's best fine dining experiences. The price was reasonable.”

“The Makerie is a unique coffee shop that does more than just coffee. You can go in and just have a drink, or you can go in, have a drink, and participate in making arts and crafts. The staff are great, and they'll help you out with anything you need, whether drink or craft related. They have an extensive coffee drinks menu and drinks can also be ordered hot or iced, so you have lots of options. They also have baked goods and pastries, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.”

“On Wednesday, Nov.22, a group of 15 seniors dined for lunch at Moxies. The meal and all were great. On the way out I fell. My friend went back into the restaurant and asked for help getting me on my feet. Morgan and a young man that was helping at our table came out and helped me get on my feet. I want to thank them so much for going beyond what they had to do. They were so kind. Many, many thanks again.”

“Real Tokyo ramen in Prince George. Edge of town, but worth it if you are hungry and in the area. Style and broth is real, and proper alkali noodles, unlike everyone else here who just uses udon. Doesn't look like a large portion, but man, fills you up for the rest of the day. Spicy ramen tasty but not as spicy for a Heat Hound like me, but considering local tastes, pretty fine anyways. <$20 a person unless you alcohol or extra stuff.Extremely worth it, a little bit of civilization in the BC North.Kid-friendliness: Cute kid options.Wheelchair accessibility: Average PG strip mall access”

“I ignored this place for years and im so glad that changed earlier this year. Its a great place with good quality food and great service. We've had Hailey as our server a few times and she is top notch. The avocado breakfast bowl is one of my favorite breakfasts in town. The old fashioned burger (chicken) was excellent. Like super awesome. Perfect bacon, juicy chicken. The fries were meh.”

“Awesome food! We ordered Calamari with some shrimp, steak sandwich, steak & shrimp with mashed potatoes. I liked the calamari it's so tender, not chewy. The store might look like closed because of the lightning outside, but when you get inside, the ambiance is great!”

“I love that everything I order here tastes delicious. I don’t have to worry or hum and haw about what the quality of a different dish might be like. So it’s fun trying everything on the menu. Very kind service. And I think the decor and atmosphere is the nicest I’ve seen in PG.”

“This was the first time being here. I went for a comedy show and the choices of menu items (food) were limited. Keep in mind this is during covid so the kitchen may have been closed. Staff are super friendly and the event was fun. The environment was nice and clean and I hope to return soon. Cheers!”

“Awesome experience! My friend and i decided to go for our bi-weekly dinner night out and unfortunately her reservation was not confirmed, so we roam around downtown and decided to go to twisted cork. We were lost at first since we got confused with their entrance however as soon as we entered the restaurant the host welcomed us warmly and offered a seat for us IMMEDIATELY! ambience, food were really good! It was one of my favorite!”

“I’ve wanted to patronize the Karahi King for a number of years and finally had the opportunity to do so at the beginning of October. I was pining for some Indian food and, since I was in PG, it seemed like a perfectly cromulent time to indulge at this eatery, which Prince Gastronome dubbed the best East Indian food in the city (not a very high bar these days due to lack of competition). In any event, I arrived fairly early at 4:45PM. The restaurant was empty, but that’s not surprising given the early hour at which I attended. By the time I left, there were two other individuals dining in + a few takeout orders to be had. In any event, I would suggest the atmosphere at Karahi King is fairly subdued. It certainly didn’t strike me as “exquisitely exotic” (whatever that means). The lighting is dim; the black high-backed chairs are of the cheap variety and exactly the same as those owned by my grandparents; there are Indian figures and pictures placed about the restaurant; a small flatscreen TV and bar; and, each of the tables are set with white tablecloths and black placemat settings. East Indian music is playing over the speaker system. In brief, the setting and atmosphere of Karahi King is generally unremarkable and similar to other East Indian establishments I’ve visited (Haryana’s immediately comes to mind). But, for me, it’s all about the food. And this is where Karahi King really shines. I ordered the fish pakora, prawn vindaloo, lamb curry, and naan bread. The fish pakora was easily the best I’ve ever had. The batter was light and crispy while the fish inside was juicy and flavourful. I appreciated how the ginger and garlic didn’t overpower the natural flavours of the fish. If I had the stomach room for it, I would’ve ordered another serving of the fish pakora! Next, the prawn vindaloo: I’m not sure if, as I slowly advance in age, I’m losing my spice tolerance? I ordered the vindaloo “medium,” but still found it quite spicy – but not enough to hinder my enjoyment of this classic Indian dish. On the contrary: The prawns were plentiful and succulent. I was pleased the potatoes and prawns were evenly distributed. In my past experience with this dish elsewhere, the prawns are just a few in number while the potatoes reign supreme, but that certainly wasn’t the case here. And, the lamb curry? I don’t often eat lamb, but this was a nice dish. The lamb was tender and the aromas and spices were allowed to permeate the dish which, by the way, was perfectly complemented by the side of rice. Finally, the naan: In short, it was pretty great – pillowy soft! The naan served as the perfect vehicle to sop up the remaining sauce in both the vindaloo and curry dishes. Outstanding! Finally, a brief rant. When I first started reviewing on TripAdvisor, I enjoyed reading Gastronome’s comments on various PG eateries with their witticisms and, often, contradictory remarks. Reading them now, however, I find myself thinking “get to the point.” Check out Gastronome’s last review of Karahi King, for instance (2015). A comped meal? How was that permitted? Anyway. . . FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 4/5 ATMOSPHERE: 3/5 VALUE: 4/5 RECOMMENDATION: The atmosphere and décor at Karahi King might be rather unremarkable, but the food is easily some of the best in PG. Karahi King is a good synthesis of flavour, spice and tradition. If visiting BC’s Northern Capital, be sure to come here! “I ordered a pizza from skip the dishes and asked for no onions. Unfortunately when the pizza showed up it was covered in onions. I called Boston Pizza and they immediately worked to fix the problem. They did not hesitate to send me a new pizza free of charge and delivered it very quickly and it was delicious. Excellent service. It says a lot about a company when they fix their mistakes that quickly and are so friendly about it. Amazing ??”

“The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Got the fish and shrimp plate with fries and coleslaw, and added the snowcrab. “Brit is the manager here ! She runs a great store - any Starbucks you walk into you feel the energy right away and how the manager runs the store.Brittany’s store has my go to anytime I’m in town. She had her team make my drink perfect after having it done wrong a few times around town. She knew exactly what I was talking about when I told her about the foam situation lol #firstworldproblems lolShe also empathized with how a customer should have their drink their way - because one shouldn’t have to pay for a beverage not done right.”

“After a long day of being at the hospital and taking care of my girlfriend, who accidentally hit a moose, we finally got discharged from the hospital and decided to go grab some Quiznos while we waited for a ride. We ended up meeting the most personable and wonderful human being on our journey today. His name is Harjot Singh. While sitting outside, I decided to grab some food and mentioned to him about my day. Harjot came outside, and asked my girlfriend if she would like anything to eat or drink for free. This is what customer service is missing today. Please come to this restaurant and support amazing people like Harjot.”

“Its standard McDonald’s food. Staff were efficient and helpful. The restaurant was modern and clean. There was a playplace for children. “I would like to give a hell yeah to Makayla I believe she is the manager. She went above and beyond with great customer service. I called in because the skip driver didn’t arrive with my order. So I called skip and got my credits back and reordered what I originally was supposed to get. Skip placed me with the same driver, so I called DQ and asked if they could just make sure the driver didn’t mess up. I know it’s not their job, but I wasn’t feeling well and I just really wanted food. Makayla reassured me she would mention it to the driver and to call back with any issues. An hour later she called me back to check-in to make sure my order was received in good order and that I was happy. She realized I wasn’t having the greatest evening and just wanted to make sure all was okay! Thank you Makayla!!”

“All the Tim Hortons locations in town are very nice and this one is no exception. Friendly, efficient staff, clean restaurant, as much as can be expected from a fast food place, some crumbs on tables and stuff. One surprising thing in this location is the amount of parking. Its at a bit of a weird angle to get in but there are a deceptively large number of parking spots!”

“We had a hankering for Teen Burgers as went drove into Prince George so we headed for A&W. This place was quiet ... too quiet. WEIRD. We approached the counter and placed our orders, but were interupted a couple of times by people needing the key for the washrooms. Eventually we had our orders, but our rootbeers were in paper cups. The sad part was that the paper straws went to bits shortly after they were wet. The burgers were hot, and the onion rings quite crunchy, but the atmosphere was skid-row.I'll go to any other A&W, just not this one.”

“Fresh Slice Pizza: A Slice of Joy in Prince GeorgeAs a pizza aficionado, I'm always on the hunt for a slice that can deliver the perfect combination of taste, quality, and affordability. On a recent visit to Prince George, I stumbled upon "Fresh Slice Pizza," a local pizza joint that had been receiving quite a buzz among the locals. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. Fresh Slice Pizza has truly impressed me with its delectable offerings and friendly ambiance.Located in a bustling part of Prince George, the restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The minimalist yet stylish interior design creates a cozy environment perfect for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners with friends and family. The staff is notably friendly, greeting every customer with a smile and guiding them through the ordering process. Now, let's talk about the real star of the show: the pizza. Fresh Slice Pizza offers an extensive selection of pizzas, ranging from classic choices like Margherita and Pepperoni to more adventurous ones featuring unique toppings like goat cheese, arugula, and figs. The sheer variety caters to every taste bud, making it an ideal spot for groups with diverse preferences.I opted for the classic Margherita and a custom creation featuring spinach, mushrooms, and Italian sausage. The pizzas were prepared promptly and served piping hot. Each bite of the Margherita showcased the perfect balance of flavors, with the tangy tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and aromatic basil creating a harmonious blend. The crust was thin and crispy, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. The custom pizza was equally delightful, and the toppings were fresh and generously portioned. One of the standout features of Fresh Slice Pizza is their commitment to using high-quality ingredients. They pride themselves on sourcing local produce when possible, and you can genuinely taste the difference. The care they put into their pizza-making process is evident, and it sets them apart from the typical fast-food pizza chains.Apart from their excellent pizza offerings, Fresh Slice Pizza also serves salads, chicken wings, garlic bread, and a few dessert options. While I didn't explore these items during my visit, they seemed like enticing choices for those looking to complement their pizza feast or for some variety. As for pricing, Fresh Slice Pizza offers fantastic value for money. The pizzas are reasonably priced, making it an affordable option for students, families, and budget-conscious diners without compromising on quality. However, one aspect that could be improved upon is the seating arrangement. The space can get quite crowded during peak hours, and finding a place to sit comfortably can be a challenge. Adding a few more tables or expanding the seating area would be beneficial for accommodating more guests during busy periods. In conclusion, Fresh Slice Pizza is undoubtedly a gem in Prince George's dining scene. With its delectable pizzas, friendly service, and warm ambiance, it's a place that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor passing through, Fresh Slice Pizza is a must-visit destination for all pizza lovers seeking a slice of joy.”

“When I lived in Prince George, I rarely attended any of the fast food restaurants on a regular basis. Sitting here and reflecting on this now, it really is quite remarkable that I wasn’t a glutton for the likes of A&W, McDonald’s, Burger King or Wendy’s, especially given that I lived in a small community sans fast food chains. Within that context, you’d think the moment I moved to “the big city” all of the aforementioned chains would be regular haunts of mine; however, this was not so! Of course, that’s not to say I never visited any of these large MNCs – to suggest that would be a blatant falsity. Instead, I went the stereotypical university student route and favoured pizza whenever it came time to treat myself. Sometimes I miss student life, but then we do tend to over idealize memories or recollections. Okay, enough with the ranting. I attended the A&W inside Pine Centre Mall’s food court area for a quick lunchtime repast. Much to my surprise, there was literally zero line, but I suppose that can be attributed to the fact that it was about 2:30PM, so not really prime lunch hour. Nevertheless, I felt this was a plus because I didn’t have to wait for my order: Spicy Habanero chicken burger, fries (w/ side of gravy), and a classic A&W root beer beverage. Once I had my bounty in hand, I made my way to a nice physically distanced table so as to savour the vintage A&W goodness that I’ve come to expect of this chain. In short, I was not disappointed. The habanero chicken burger was nicely presented; its exterior was crunchy while its interior remained juicy and flavourful. In addition, the habanero sauce gave the burger a good level of consistent heat within the context of fast food (which, in my experience, generally tends to lack any significant spice). The accompanying fries were decent and benefited from A&W’s scrumptious gravy. Finally, the root beer proved to be the perfect complement as it offered a nice cool contrast to the rest of my meal. FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: I know a lot of people tend to harp on large fast food chains, and often for good reason, but A&W typically hits more homeruns than it does strikes. This remains true for the location inside Pine Centre mall. Service was fast and the food tasted fresh It was, therefore, in line with past experiences. Recommended!

“We were here for Dinner and our experience was Fantastic with these lovely people around serving us and making sure we are doing great with our drinks and food. And the teppanyaki is so wonderful experience here. Hari and Nitin our servers were so excellent in providing service to us under the nice and friendly supervision of Jasmine and her manager Vinay. And our Chef Nook was fantastic, he cooks so good and he does great job in flaring and juggling too along with cooking. Great job guys!!!”

“Initially wanted to leave four stars because this is by far the most expensive Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to, however the interior of this place, which is much better than your average pho place, and amazing service, thanks to Zack, made me leave 5. Food was good, nothing too special or different from other good Vietnamese places.”

“We stopped in here on a whim after walking Cottonwood Park and was absolutely blown away. The beers were great, service was friendly and attentive but the Trout Gravlox took the cake! It was, hands down the best dish we’ve ever had in a brewery. Super tasty and well balanced. Just delicious. Will be back next time we’re in PG!”

“My fiance and I went there for dinner recently and everything was amazing. Our server was very attentive, and provided excellent service with a smile. Our dishes were cooked quickly and perfectly, and they tasted delicious. We were made to feel like a valued customer, which we appreciated. My only complaint was the pub was noisy, which for two autistics was somewhat overwhelming.”

Cheers!”

“Passing through town & figured I’d support a local business instead of a chain. The staff were extremely pleasant & the gluten free options were delicious! Will definitely be back if I’m in the areaDietary restrictions: Great options for gluten & sugar free. They asked if I had any nut allergies as well.”
“The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Got the fish and shrimp plate with fries and coleslaw, and added the snowcrab. It was very good. $20 for half a crab is expensive, but if you have the money and can afford it I recommend it. I enjoyed everything and almost cleared my plate. If you have left overs, pop them in the air fryer to enjoy again later!”
