My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at The Keg, Prince George. Vicki was our server and was cheerful, friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. Meals were prepared precisely to order, and the low noise level and fireplace contributed to a cozy ambience. From being greeted on arrival through the ordering process until our departure, the interaction among team members gave evidence of effective and attentive management strategies.
We really enjoyed the Keg. The one problem I have is with the lack of room in the washrooms for wheelchairs. I would love to see an independent dedicated wheelchair accessible washroom. I need to take my husband into the men's washroom with no privacy for us or other patrons.
As usual no complaints! Food was absolutely amazing, best service in town! We love the Keg, it's our favourite!
Great good great server Sam was attentive but not overbearing and he has a great personality. Very nice evening out with good friends.
Food amazing as always. Drinks were delicious, but this night the service was slow. Took a long time to take our order, clear plates in between corses and get the bill. We were there for a 7:30 seating so the main dinner rush was over. I just expected it to be more prompt.
We had an excellent time. Our waiter and waiter really paid attention to every detail. The food was great as well. Careful, it's hot! Thanks to the Keg and their excellent staff!!
My family and I went to the keg Friday night to spend the evening with a good (VERY EXPENSIVE) meal. I have a non visible disability that could kill me if I get an infection or illness. However, eating out has been one of my lifelong joys. I have been going to the Keg since 1976 when it first opened. I bring distilled water with me to EVERY restaurant I visit in PG to mitigate my risks. WAIT. NOT THE KEG!!! Oh no. The manager came over, would not stop talking long enough to listen and kicked us out because I would not hand over my water bottle to her. She was going to put it "behind the bar". The bottle is Not lockable and she thinks I'm going to let it leave my sight?? The manager also failed to read the empty room. We are in our sixties and we CAN afford to pay for our drinks and our meal. And DIRECTLY to this so-called manager, WE DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL. Your business, however lost out on a massive dinner bill and a humongous tip for your staff. And after 48 years of patronage, I will not be back. You cannot violate human rights by preventing anyone with a disability access to your restaurant. This manager needs some training. P.S. As it turns out, the person will get the training she needs. I sincerely hope it helps.
Always a great experience! Friendly staff and amazing food! We had a really great time.

Fantastic food and service as I’ve come to expect from the chain. Steak cooked perfectly and extremely quick to get our meals.

I only ordered an appy, but it was really bad. I was too hungry to use my words and say how I felt. Service team didn’t alert me to the happy hour at the time, which made me pay more for my choices… not great attention to detail, aware this is PG, but for a big brand I expected a standard that wasn’t achieved.

I have been going to the Keg since the 70s but in Prince George since the mid 80's. This place is a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. I have never had a bad meal here, and I have had many memorable food experiences here. The Steaks and Prime Rib are excellent, I miss the big salad bar they once had and the big wine karaffes of frozen daiquiries. They once served oysters Rockefeller, which were my all-time favorite. There is almost nothing on the menu I don't like, and the appies and desserts are outstanding as well, especially the Billy Miner Pie and the Cherry Cheese Cake. Also, check out the limited time specials they have on various seasonal items like fish and seafood. The most memorable thing I ate here was a perfectly grilled chunk of honey miso glazed sable fish. Wow, it was incredible. If you have a special occasion or want to impress your wife or girlfriend, this might be the place to go. The service is good, though sometimes they put a bit of priority on the alcohol, and drinks can really rack up the bill if you don't watch. Trust me when I say this. So if you go here I am sure you will have a good time.
Parking: At times, parking can be limited during peak times. Holidays and weekends.
