Great little spinoff the highway. Busy enough to show they have a faithful following. I had a matcha latte and it was very well made. Comfortable seating upstairs for us and great place to sit and talk, and enjoy a good coffee.

The coffee is good, the atmosphere is very nice. However, we came for breakfast and the food is not good. I had an “oatmeal bowl” and it was instant oatmeal, that I had to wait several minutes to allow it to “cook” with no toppings, no milk, nothing. I was very hungry so I ate it but cannot recommend. My husband had the fiesta wrap (which appears to be made offsite?) and described it as “bland.” I don’t write very many reviews, but in this case we felt that the website was misleading. For sure have a coffee, but eat elsewhere.

Their famous White Mocha frappe tasted so bad. It was like a slushed coffee with no Mocha flavour at all. The coffee had a weird flavour. May be I went with higher expectations.

I would be confident in saying that this is probably the best coffee shop in Prince George.
I wish it wasn't so far away from where I am, but if you haven't been there I highly recommend that you take the trip because it is absolutely gorgeous and the coffee is delicious.
The atmosphere is just awesome, probably one of a kind here in Prince George.
I do a lot of work on my laptop in coffee shops, and the atmosphere is always what I'm looking for, and that's exactly what the open door cafe has plenty of.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious coffee, they also have some treats and probably some food as well, but so far I've only had coffee from there and it was delicious.
I believe it's places like this, that we need more of.
So do yourself a favor even if you're not close by, take a small drive and experience one of the best places to get coffee in Prince George.

The ambience of the coffee shop is great , had a cappuccino and carrot cake . The cappuccino was not that hot but the carrot cake was amazing. The service was great and the host was great with her recommendations.
We had a mango Lemonade. And its tastes like a normal water . No flavour , nothing

Great products and customer service! They are all very helpful and pleasant. I also like that they have regular seating and then more comfy seating upstairs as well. I always enjoy The Open Door Cafe and happy we have it in P.G.

Order a cinnamon bun macchiato, and it tasted like watered down, definitely not enjoyable, this was my third time giving there drinks a shot because I have heard great things about this cafe. But unfortunately they did not live up to the hype, very unfortunate.
