From the moment we entered Bistro 694 we knew we were in a special place. We were greeted warmly by Nancy, one of the owners, (Doubling as our incredible server) and led to a lovely window table with soft candle lighting and pleasing background music. It got even better from here! We were treated to complimentary warm bread, butter, balsamic dip and olives, including delicious gluten free bread for me. Our choice of an appetizer was to share a regular sized Caesar salad. It was absolutely the best Caesar I have ever tasted, with home made dressing, the perfect amount of fresh parmesan cheese with the croutons on the side for my husband. Our dinners were served piping hot, with mine being the decadent and delicious Chicken with Walnuts and Gorgonzola, every vegetable cooked to crisp perfection. My husband enjoyed the equally delicious Linguine Prosciutto. My only disappointment is that we had not experienced this fabulous Bistro before this time. If I could score higher than 5 I would! Thank you to Nancy and Tony for a very special birthday dinner. Looking forward to our next visit soon!

Excellent dinner. Waitress was remarkable — she served the entire restaurant by herself and not rushed, just efficient, professional and with amazing charm. She said her husband is the cook. Delight to watch her. Certainly go back the next time we come to Qualicum. Highly recommend.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a wonderful dinner at Bistro 694 in Qualicum Beach. It is only open on the weekends and the menu is limited, but everything is top notch. I had the pork tenderloin and my husband had the seafood crepes - both meals were to die for. We don’t usually eat dessert, but we shared a piece of the triple layer carrot cake and we are glad we made the decision to have some. You will not be disappointed if you chose to eat here. Excellent service, excellent food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We will go back for sure.
Excellent experience. Interesting menu, unobtrusive service, superb meals. We had crab cakes, Thai curry and a special of the day pan fried fish. Highly recommended

Fantastic meal. Refreshing Caesar salad. Crotons were awesome. Gorgonzola chicken and butter chicken meals were a delight. Very generous portions of chicken with these great homemade sauces. The Gorgonzola was particularly decadent and filling. Finished off with a flourless Kahlúa chocolate cake….oh dear lord, somebody save me. It was amazing. Go try out this intimate spot right downtown Qualicum on Memorial Steet.

My husband and I book at Bistro 694 for special occasions and it never disappoints! We went for our anniversary dinner (Feb5) and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The hummus and pita bread was full of flavour and the shrimp cocktail superb. For the mains my husband had the pork medallion. He thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t stop talking about the chicken with walnuts and Gorgonzola. It was incredible! We highly recommend this restaurant. They are open limited hours so plan ahead with reservations.

Excellent vibe with the view of well lit courtyard, along with the wood/glass windows/doors. Fabulous crab and shrimp cakes and mixed green salad as appies. The pork tenderloin madallions of different sauces gave us a very different tastes, bot.h outstanding, not to mention the great portion sizes. Very delicious. The waitress, the wife of the chef, was very friendly and gave us a family style of warmth which fitted very well with Qualicum Beach.
