Great!

They've perfected mediocre. The burger is overpriced for the serving size and with incredibly minimal toppings. The patty was much smaller than the bun, and had the texture of being steamed instead of grilled - tight and chewy beef. A telltale sign of being overcooked. Zero love put into it.The fries are nearly identical to McDonald's fries, except coated, which are good, but not what I expect for this price. The food was lukewarm overall. The interior is fine, but incredibly drafty as the staff is frequently in and out to the patio. The beer is good, but feels overpriced.Overall it's forgettable and we won't be back. Extreme Eatery is still the best burger you can get in the area, Q Burger is up there too.The owner's replies to other reviews are hilariously unprofessional. I wish I had seen that before going.

It was Easter weekend and we had no idea what we were going to do. So we went for a drive and my Girl, aka copilot was searching her phone for a place to stop for a snack and a beer. She came across Fern and Cedar, I asked if we were heading in their direction and as luck would have it we were minutes away. For a busy day, we were seated immediately...awesome.The Waite staff were wonderful, the beers were very tasty and the cheese burger and cod and chips were stellar. We shall return in summer and sit outside.

Lots of seating and great service. No lack of ferns. Nice selection of house brews but the non-beer options are very light.Recommend the clam & seafood chowder it was great with real crab and shrimp. Pairs well with bannock.

A review in a couple parts, to reflect my most recent experience. The beers here are very well executed. I've been here a few times and the beer remains both consistent and tasty. Kudos to the brewers in nailing a hazy IPA style that doesn't taste too sweet, and the Belgian Wit was also perfectly balanced for the spring weather we've been having. The cider options were also fantastic for those who aren't consuming gluten. The food here is also phenomenal: the Lamb Shoulder and the Beef Short Ribs are delectable (as they always have been), but the entire menu is worth considering, there isn't a bad choice to be found. The service is also remarkable: we were met promptly at the entrance, and the staff knew their food and drink menu well. Notably, when my wife asked about drink options the server was able to come up with an offering immediately that was very well received.Lastly, I want to comment on how professionally and respectfully they handled me leaving a personal item there. I had accidentally left a briefcase in the tasting room and didn't realize it until I was already on a ferry to the mainland. After calling the tasting room, they quickly confirmed they had it, and they even went so far as to box up the briefcase for me so I could dispatch a courier to ship it for me. I was expecting to be told I'd have to come back to get it if I wanted it, but they made my life significantly easier when they really had no obligation to. I received it today with everything that I had left inside the bag accounted for. A huge thank you to the staff who helped with this, you made a very stressful event for me incredibly easy to navigate and resolved in an efficient manner.Dietary restrictions: Options for gluten free in food and beverages.

Went here for the first for the Hops for Habitat Pacific Salmon Foundation Fundraiser. What a great even from start to finish. Matt and his team had the night completely dialled in. Will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I came here for dinner and were not disappointed! We sat outside in the heated patio and stayed toasty warm, our waitress was so attentive, and the food was delicious! We ordered the baby back ribs with a side salad and the ribs came with fresh dough balls, fish and chips, and cinnamon sugar bannock with vanilla bean ice cream. Everything was SO good, we might have to come back for lunch before we leave. Also, the drinks were great! 100% suggest stopping in for a visit on your way through

Easily one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. Smoked cod fritters, seafood chowder, and arugula salad were all delicious. Clearly fresh produce and talented preparation. Backed up by great service and amazingly good lager.
