😡Waitress accused my friends of trying to not pay the bill, very, very rudely and not respectful in the least, and then demanded that they pay for something they did not eat, and said I imagine you won't leave a tip. They were so intimated they paid it. I have to say every bill was wrong for the whole table. I will not go back there if that waitress is there She is a bad reflection on the restaurant. Bad, bad service from her, simply rude. I have to say the rest of the staff was great

Hubby and I hadn't been for a while, and we went tonight and shared 3 items from the share list, and he ordered a very spicy Ceasar and that's what he got. Food was great, and servers were wonderful, even though the place was full, and folks were waiting to come in. We will be back.

Friendly staff, good choices but a utility atmosphere next to the airport apron.

This was honestly a 5 star place, the place is very modern and they have a outside area, the place also has TV's. This place is also child friendly with a kids menu and a kids drawing paper. All of there food is good and the service is great. The food does take a normal amount of time to make (Around 10 - 20 minutes I'd say) There Sticky Toffee Pudding is great.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and a drawing page

Our first time and we'll be back. Katie greeted us as if we were good friends, the food arrived fast and fresh. The happy hour prices had us impressed at our bill. Great place with a great reputation.

Probably the best overall airport restaurant I've been to: great food, good staff, and reasonable prices.
Busy right to closing.

We were impressed. Had been reading about this place for quite a while, but on our various trips to Qualicum had never had a chance to stop in. We did the other day, and was very tasty. Terrific service, very friendly. One of us had a two egg breakfast, Huge portion. The other one had a salad and it was really really good. We will be back

Little Airport, Big Heart

Vancouver Island's Qualicum airport might be small and lack a control tower, but it packs a surprising punch.

The on-site restaurant, accessed through the bar, serves up delicious food with impressive accommodation for dietary restrictions.

While the meal was excellent, it was the service that truly elevated the experience.

Elijah, our server, went above and beyond. Even after we'd finished eating and paid, and we chatted for a while, he came over and offered to refill our coffee, demonstrating a genuine desire to enhance our visit. This unexpected touch of hospitality is what earned this little airport restaurant a five-star rating.

It was on our summer bucket list to walk to the final approach for dinner with our kids. We showed up prior to 6, without a reservation. They told us when we arrived that if we didn’t have a reservation we could sit at the bar. I’ve worked in the service industry before, so generally when I’m told they are full I respect that. However you could see 75% of the restaurant was empty. After some pondering we decided to sit at the bar, since we walked and didn’t have alternatives. Over the course of our dinner, 1.5 hours, the restaurant never filled up. We even heard someone call in and they said they had a table available that they could reserve for them. It was disappointing the didn’t try and accommodate us at a table, especially since we have two children under 5 and the bar is less then ideal. The servers varied at the bar and they tried to be accommodating- splitting out children’s meal as requested- which I appreciate. At the end of the night I brought the concern to the server about getting a table, although she recognized it, the explanation provided didn’t make sense as to why we couldn’t be accommodated at a table. I wouldn’t say this is a family centered restaurant and wouldn’t recommend for someone looking for a customer focused experienced.
