We had soup and schnitzel with fries. Delicious food and above and beyond service. Our waitress was incredibly helpful. The bathroom was clean.

Not pleased. I ordered the Clubhouse sandwich. Ricky’s clubhouse is way better. I have had many Clubhouses and this is the worst. The bread was not toasted enough. (See photo). I don’t understand how a cook would put out a clubhouse like this and the server would serve it.I didn’t remember there being bacon in it but there must’ve been. I remember there being lots of lettuce. The sandwich came with beef barley soup. It was tasty but it was only lukewarm and gloppy. It wasn’t like a homemade soup because I am guessing that they used some sort of thickener.Maybe this explains why the restaurant was so quiet. We were there from 11:30 am until about 2 pm. There couldn’t have been more than 5 parties during that whole time. And their coffee was terrible. Maybe my expectations were too high because they charged $4.00 for a cup of it and it tasted very weak.I loved the old car theme of the restaurant. It was very nostalgic. And the music was very good too.

Stopped in after years of not going. Same old Gary's, pretty much a staple in qualicum. Friendly service, had the eggs Benny, was great w hashbrowns although 1 egg was over done but was promptly replaced to my satisfaction. Overall great hometown experience. Yes times are tough with inflation and staff issues but we all need to have a little more patience.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Food was delicious, staff were so nice. Food took quite a while to come out, but worth the wait.

My wife and i, together with friends, had lunch at Gary's Bistro today. The food, the service and the ambience were all extremely good, making this one of the best venues we have been in for a long, long time. Notwithstanding the number of customers, virtually fulling the restaurant, service was efficient and fast and very friendly. While nothing can be taken away from the high quality of the food, our waitress TERESA, really was the "icing on the cake!" We don't get to QB very often but, henceforth, Gary's Bistro will be an absolute must on our itinerary. 5+/5

Favourite lunch spot when we come into town. Food is always great, and the retro atmosphere is perfect.

Service was good. The beef dip was the most boring and bland I've ever had.

Best Clubhouse around. We stop every time we're in town.

The waitress was great, but can’t say the same about the food and the cleanliness.

Great food and service. Food came out very fast and was so good. We tried the perogies, Mexican eggs Benedict, and the loaded Cafe breakfast (something like that). Everything was cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this great local business. Will definitely be coming back again soon.
